@@SNAPSHOTREVIEW Thanks for your reply. I found the successor to the Phanteks P500A, the G500A, and I like quite a few things about it over the Torrent, although the Torrent is really hard to beat. But better cable management, pre-daisy chained fans, vanity covers over the cables behind the motherboard, swing out doors. Cooling is neck and neck with Torrent. The G500A is a little cheaper, but Torrent comes with 5 fans vs 3 on G500A. I'd say build and material quality is a bit better on Torrent. Decided to go with G500A.

Hi! Thanks a lot ❤🧡💛 180mm fans are definitely better cos of the massive airflow. However, noise increases significantly over 600~700rpm. 140mm cooling fans are better if you are nervous about noise in high loads. If you don't mind the noise, I recommend 180mm fans. Cheers!

Thank you so much! The NH-D15 is the top-notch low-noise cooler! Additionally, if you optimise the front 180mm fans, you can keep the noise level as you want. The case is designed for air cooling and relies on the intake fans. Therefore, it's very important to balance the bottom and front intake fans. Hope this helps man👍👍

@SNAPSHOTREVIEW
@SNAPSHOTREVIEW 11 ай бұрын
Oh, thank you so much, and I'm glad you liked it. An exhaust cooling fan is available only on the rear. However, the rear side is fully perforated, and a push-pull airflow from the intake fans. Therefore, it's good for air-cooled builds. This chassis is too big so I'm not currently using it anymore, but it's still a pretty good one. Hope this helps 👍👍

@SNAPSHOTREVIEW
@SNAPSHOTREVIEW Жыл бұрын

Hi~! The 7950x's power draw is very high like 13700K, not sure maybe more... Therefore, it's quite hard to run with the default values on BIOS. If you like "air cooled", undervolting or limiting power draw should be necessary. Ah! If you asked me physically AM5 socket compatible, it's not a problem at all. You can use AM4 socket based as well or you can contact your local Noctua team. Cheers!

Thank you so much, my friend! If you go with B660 or B760, AIO would be convenient. If you play only games, NH-D15 is good enough. Acutally, it fully depends on how much power draw you use. You can do undervolting with z690/z790/any MOBO supported by undervolting or lite load preset, both are fully fine. Have you heard about "Thermalright pa120"? What did you think about 13600/13700k on B660 motherboard? Can be some problems?

@SNAPSHOTREVIEW Жыл бұрын
Hi! Well... it's okay if you go with an AIO cooler. Basically, the 13600K/13700K CPU voltage is quite high if you run it as it is, the default values. B660, no supports to control or change the core voltage so hard to cover the whole area of CPU usage if you go with an air cooler. Finally, it depends on your CPU cooler. I hope this helps. One suggestion, if you're on a tight budget, why not "z690m" this time? Cheers 👍👍

I build a PC for performance, so why would I throttle my CPU in a air cooled PC designed for high airflow?
@SNAPSHOTREVIEW
@SNAPSHOTREVIEW Жыл бұрын
The Intel 13700KF does generate a significant amount of heat, so even with a well-designed air-cooled PC, there are limitations to its cooling capabilities. For gaming or running simple applications, the Intel 13700KF is generally sufficient. However, the issue arises from the fact that ambient temperature can also have an impact, potentially leading to throttling even under stock conditions. Thank you so much for your comment. My 13700KF results for anybody interested: STOCK VOLTAGE: (power limit) - (Cinebench R23 score), (MAX temperature after some time): 50w - 15663, 60 deg 100w - 23808, 63 deg 150w - 27557, 78 deg 160w - 27720, 79 deg 170w - 28101, 81 deg 200w - 29278, 89 deg 220w - 30007, 96 deg, 1,381V slight trottle Voltage offset: -0,050v 220w - 30597, 93 deg Voltage offset: -0,100v 20w - 5796, 45 deg 50w - 17622, 60 deg ??? higher score than @stock voltage ??? 100w - 24335, 63 deg, 150w - 28064, 77 deg, 220w - 30562, 87 deg, package TDP 192W ! despite limit 220w 220w - Prime95 - 93 deg, 1,221v, package TDP 220 240w - Prime95 - crash Voltage offset: -0,115v prime95 crash Cinebench 220w - 30464, 86, package TDP 188W Motherboard VRM maximum throughout tests VRM-53 deg I have very similiar setup to the one in this video, and I have ordered parts for my build not seeing this video before, just coincidently very similiar spec. Not tried Load line calibration yet as not familiar with it. I have used default motherboard settings, apart for XMP for DDR4 memory @3000Mhz and power limit for each test. So at 100w power limit system is super silent even with Cinebench running ! and the score is over 10k better than my previous Ryzen 3800x with same power draw. At 150W its not super silent (depends on your fan curve) but is still quite silent. My setup is: - Intel 13700KF - Thermalright LGA17XX-BCF contact frame (happy that I used this, it helped a lot) and it came with Thermalrigh TF7 paste, which i used (see their video for application-9 blobs for Intel 12,13gen), its conductivity is over 12W/mK so looks very good. I noticed on youtube some kits receive some "puppy poop" thermalpaste instead Thermalrigh TF7 in the box, although funny name, unsure aboiut that pase specs, so ask what you're buying! - Noctua NH-D15 with 2 fans - Asus PRIME Z790-P D4 - Gainward Ghost 2060 Super (not relevant for this test, just display) - G.Skill F4-3000Mhz 16-18-18-38 1,35V 32GB memory - Corsair RX850x 850W 80PLUS GOLD PSU

Somethings seriously wrong if your throttling and temps in the high 90s on a DH15. It should not need undervolting. Check your dh15 is fitted right, that cooler can tame 13900k without throttle and 400w+ heat.

Well I don't like AIO. Two ugly thick cables that look weird. Pump noises and also rotor blades make their usual noise. Then you have to expect the water to run out and destroy your system at any time. They are also more maintenance-prone than an air cooler.
