This was written by Igor Krutoy especially for the opening ceremony of the European games. Igor is a famous Russian composer who came out of semi retirement to work with Dimash. He has composed many of the songs Dimash has performed and often accompanies him on the piano. Two geniuses together! ❤❤❤

@tompham...Dimash and Igoe premiered Olympico at the Second European Games in 2019. Those are the Olympic Trials for Europe. The actual Olympics were in 2020.

You not only know what to expect from Dimash but you’ll be shocked each time. Every song brings something new and different. He also changes the song each time he sings it so at his concerts it’s always different. It’s hard to tell you which to listen to next but stranger is amazing between production, range, and it’s in English. The story of one sky music video is a masterpiece but have tissues. Dimash has performed in New York. I didn't get to attend, alas. You can probably find smartphone videos of the concert here on KZfaq. (I say 'probably' because I don't know if they have been taken down for copyright reasons.) His concerts usually last a couple of hours. And it's usually just Dimash. Why his throat isn't a burned-out husk, I don't know.

His concerts are nearer three hours. I’ve been to three, At the Dubai concert, his mother came and sang a song and he usually has the dombra and kobyz musiscians perform a couple of numbers, gives him a chance to change outfits etc.

@@phishfan geeze. I was thinking about the usual concert sets of pop stars, I suppose. It's usually a set by one or more lesser-known singers or groups, then the star delivers a 45-minute set, and everyone goes home. Springsteen must be an iron man.

You are a true Dear now; Yea! I am glad you got to hear Olimpico. This was the first song Igor Krutoy composed for Dimash and his wonderful voice for the Olympics. While we heard Dimash, at the Olympic performance we saw very little of him and a lot of people carrying the flag. I went with 13 other fans to his New York Concert (1st US Concert) and when he sang Olimpico they added what looked like a burst of stars everywhere. I was frozen to my chair in all the beauty of Dimash's live voice.

And this is good, because a person should not just mindlessly exist and easily roll through life. He must be able to think. It's a great technique. It's cool to combine it with having the sun just peeking out from behind the edge of a building or something- it's called "edge-cut sun". Stop down your aperture as far as you can and then position the sun sort of half cut off by a sharp edge like on a ruined temple or something. Forgive me if you already know this- just putting it out there for anyone who is interested.

Yes, this was composed by Igor Krutoy specially for Dimash and was premiered at the 2nd European Games opening ceremony. This particular performance was at the Arnau concert at Nur-Sultan, now Astana in 2019.

Just for your own enjoyment, find this performance on Dimas48's YT channel. It is a fan cam so the audio isn't as good but the whole song is a Dimash close-up !!! Watch closely at the very end as Dimash takes out his ear pieces. He is so into the character that it takes him a few moments to come out of it. His own mom has said that she sometimes doesn't recognize him onstage!! So cool!! 💞💞👍🤗

Great song,great stage presence,incredible vocals,inspirational lyrics!This was written for Dimash by Igor Krutoy...could you think of anybody,who could cover this?Nah...me neither!😅And I don't know,if you noticed,Dimash was touching his ears a few times...because his ear monitors weren't working...and he still pulled this off!😅
