I'm a diehard Panthers fan, but part of me was relieved after this loss so that we could focus on trying to win the Super Bowl, which was the real goal. Trying to go undefeated and win every single game takes a mental toll on you at the end (Ask the 2007 Patriots).

I still can’t believe this team was one game away from 16-0. I mean I can only remember 2 or 3 players from this team. I don’t even remember the media hyping them up that much. I remember a lot of “will the Patriots go 16-0” because they started something like 10-0, but nothing like that for the Panthers. Definitely one of the strangest 15-1 teams of all time.

Still an amazing result. It looked like Carolina was destined to finish with a undefeated regular season, only to trip up to a mediocre Atlanta team. Sports man, can never be sure of anything.

Is it just me, or has anyone else thought when Cam would wind up to throw, he was going to throw it deep but then it would be a short pass? 🤔. I always thought he had a unique throwing motion.

Still can’t believe the panthers blew their perfect regular in this game. I still feel like even if they went 16-0, they still would’ve lost to the broncos in the super bowl and would’ve ended up just like the 2007 patriots.

Cam's one and only season as an elite QB. He sure did let it go to his head, and he sure did get humbled quickly. The rise and fall of Cam Newton should be a 30 for 30, dude fell off a cliff.

Cam literally had one of the best rookie seasons of all time…. He broke the All time season rushing touchdown record for QBs his rookie year. Plus Cam was the first QB in NFL history to have 5 straight 3500+ passing yard and 500+ rushing yard season.

@@Legal_Savant no it’s was a 7 year stretch….. he didn’t “fall off a cliff” he got his shoulder destroyed on a dirty hit from TJ Watt in 2018….. the panthers were 6-2 and cam was having his best passing year of his career before he took that hit to his throwing shoulder. Just say you didn’t watch the panthers play..
