I told my daughters if he ever shows up in the Midwest USA, buy the tickets as soon as you can. I will pay for them. I saw the greatest voice so far in my lifetime and that was Pavarotti, a voice that comes along once in several generations.... Now we have Dimash and he has a voice that comes along NEVER...... until now.

Dimash composed this song when he was about 17 years old. He let his friend, who happens to be Oral Baissengir's son hear the song. He went home to tell his dad he had to write the lyrics for it. Mr Baissengir is a well know poet, and his response was, he couldn't just write lyrics for the song until he knew more about it. It took a couple more years before Dimash and Mr Baissengir got together to complete the song with lyrics. Dimash said in a Q&A that the D8 was not planned, but spontaneous. Makes it even more shocking to know he just did it to do it. Blessings to you!

This "Gakku" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert.
