Agreed; one of your best; so comprehensive. Question: Re hitting the ground with your toe below the heel, doesn't that interfere with and decrease the amount of force you're trying to drive into the ground? Why aren't sprinters advised to hit the ground with the mid-foot and immediately apply force to the ground?

Appreciate it Russ! No it doesn’t decrease force because it allows the athlete to utilize more of the extensors in the leg which help with force production. There are sprinters that are recommended to apply force into the mid-foot but this could actually cause a longer foot contact time which is inefficient with top speed mechanics..

Hello. I’ve been going outside a lot to throw the football and I’ve gotten it down to where I can throw a spiral every single time with a bad ball. *I can’t throw far at all because it wobbles and goes too high, and is almost never accurate because I can’t line up my shoulders* What can I do to fix this? Also, *my shoulder hurts randomly with a lot of pain around my rotator/front side area.* Any tips on what I should do? Thanks

Need to fix elbow drive and wrist position it sounds like and you are using too much arm to make the throw
