hongin (the male dancer) has an hearing impairment so to see him focus on the counts is amazing and KILLED IT!!! he is so COOL

the dancer that chungha did the salsa/samba with at 8:22 is named kim hongin and he actually has a hearing impairment!! he said he counts all the beats in his head and just knowing that made this dance 20 times more impactful for me!!! i just love how chungha lets her backup dancers shine and has such a friendly relationship with them

By the way, the guy who partner danced with Chungha, has a hearing disablity. He was also in a survival show called boys24.

Changmo is actually not a kpop idol! He is a khiphop / krnb rapper! it’s my fav music genre hahah. He could’ve been in the music video for visuals, but defenitly not dor dancing hahha because khh artist are not trained in dancing (exept they did voluntarily)

I like that Chungha uses different styles of dance/genre every comeback/pre-release and she makes sure to highlight said dance/genre in her videos/choreography.

A lot already talked about HongIn but I had too as a H:OURs (fan of BOYS24 and all the boys). I'm thankful to Chungha for dancing with HongIn it's such a pleasure to be able to see him on scene. He was a contestant of the survival show BOYS24 and he did DANCING9 (Season 1 and 3 normaly) too. Hongin is incredible in dance even with his hearing impairment and with the facr that he have to dance counting the beat in his head and all of that. This boys is so hardworking despite his hearing disability, he worked so hard on BOYS24 for his vocal too with the others boys. I don't think people talked about his dance backgroup so actually HongIn do Contemporary Dance and Dance Sport. You can find some videos of him with BOYS24, he danced on Chandelier for BOYS24 and otherwise he have videos of him on Twitter with his dance show or some class he is in. Fun fact: Chungha's choreographers also dance with her, they have kind of a dance team called La Chica; gonna drop their Insta if u wanna check them out: @la.chica_official, they recently posted a video of the raw or "demo" version of Play before they changed it a bit 😊

When you are taking about the hands I can only think of gfriend - glass bead where they synchronized their hands so that everything in the dance was in perfect sync

Her collabs with changmo are like give and take and always fire ,she features in his songs and he does too , it's not the the 1st time as she collabs with him . He is an amazing rapper you should check him out if you're interested in rap

at 18:53, chungha is joined by her 4 friends, sara, feelion, doyeon, and doohee, dancing at the final chorus. there is just something about this part of the music video that i love because to me, it shows a sense of a strong bond between the 5 of them. those same 4 friends have been with her since her debut (but, they've been a friend group since chungha was still in school, a good 10-11 years they've known one another), and you can see at least 1 of them participate in each of her releases. not to mention, dancer shin jiwon & simeez appear as dancers here too, often by her side during every chorus. rian, the mastermind behind chungha's choreography, doesn't appear here, but does appear in stay tonight. it just goes to show that chungha sticks with who she trusts, and that she grows a strong tie with all her friends. truly outstanding!

If you want another soloist, you still haven't reacted to another of the biggest soloists on k-pop, Sunmi. And she released a song a couple of weeks ago, "pporappippam". She's an amazing performer and has a very different style from Chungha :p

I used to dance salsa in high school and most of the posture and control is on the chest, shoulders, arms and the tip of your toes to achieve the flowy hip movements. Some dancers play around with the control of the movements for dynamics but that's basically the base

One thing I noticed in the dance practice that I couldn't stop squealing over is the parts that could be considered "twerking" or whatever all the guy dancers were doing the exact same thing and weren't trying to do a "manly" version or anything and idk why but that made me so happy 😆
