I've used it for almost two years (that's like 3 entire bottles of 100 ml) and i can tell that it really is a very strong fragrance. I got so many compliments about how strong and delicious it smelled. I'm telling you, if you wanna smell like a cutie, this is not a fragrance for you.

I love this fragrance and the fact that's it light and not extremely underwhelming! The bottle is beautiful well worth the buy to me!

I think everyone expects too much, the perfume is actually unique, if you did your research you would know that this is a push-pull technology, and also it has belladonna inside which is a poison and some other delicate and unique notes which you can find online. Yes, you already stated the notes, and the dramatisation of the note description, is showing you how dark this fragrance is.

I like your message at the end of the video and it pretty much lines up with what I think. I like and want to wear what smells good. I like a lot of the celebrity fragrances and some people might think some of the fragrances are for teenagers or people in their early 20s and anybody older shouldn't be wearing it. I'm in my early 30s and and I don't care if people think I've outgrown certain fragrances. All goes with what a person likes imo. Anyway, enjoyed the video!

your nose is sooooo different from my nose. I do smell the incense,and love it. To me, its not that strong or over the top. "Killer Queen' is way too much to me. not this. I find 'fame' pretty original in its smell. I have no other perfume that smells like this one does. Its funny how ppl pick up on different things in a scent. Cuz i totally get the incense and it just makes this whole thing 'pop'- its close to perfect- for me.i luv it.

I sprayed around 2 ml of Fame in a non-airtight case. 24 hours later it separated into a purple viscous liquid and yellow oil drops.

just thought i'd mention black is a combination of red, blue and yellow. primarily red and blue, that makes purple. I love this perfume :) great review.

It does smell like a lot of other celebrity fragrances. What makes it (relatively) special is how the notes feel kaleidoscopic. I kind of love the fruity-floral-ness but I've been debating getting it.

Actually it's been said that according to your body chemistry the base of the perfume may or may not smell like incense...in my opinion it does smell like this musky incense but at some people it ends up smelling like a faint honey smell :)

Yes it is dark purple,in the ingridients u cn see,but its completely clear,it WAS afterall DARK purple,it should spray atleast a little purple on white surfaces

Hey just to inform you it is black. In order to make black you need the primary colors and when light hits it you will see some of the primary colors one being red. Same thing when people dye their hair black if your in the sun it has a hint of red :)

The color changes colors under different light.....Hold it under a yellow light and you will see a different color....

Gaga was not trying represent herself in this fragrance. The fact that she didn't actually represents her artistry, her creativity. She has said in interviews that she only wanted to represent what she thinks of the fame and it's duality. She made it very clear that she did not include anything personal on her part, like her personal interpretation of it, but just her interpretation, in general.

I love the idea of these middle aged women discussing this at the store. :DDD I agree about the incense-- it also doesn't pull out on my skin, but I've smelled it on people were it did get pulled out, and it's AMAZING. I can sort of duplicate the smell by layering it with a woody/musky smell- I have burberry body, which works FANTASTICALLY for me, and I'd highly suggest finding something that can do it for you if the incense is MIA!

Also, as additional information, "Fame" is not the first black perfume. "Black Afgano" by Nassomato is the first one I think (although it doesn't spray clear). But "Fame" is the first mainstream black fragrance as Nassomato is a very expensive niche brand and difficult to find.

Gaga is kinda out there, so I wasn't sure what to expect from her fragrance? But I was surprised how sweet it is, almost sickly? But after a half in hour, it mallow a bit & became a soft powdery, sweet, apricot, scent. Which I liked

Funny you mentioned grape. When I smelled Kat Von D's Sinner, I said it smelled like purple to me. I love that perfume! If you haven't tried it, you should. I only have a rollerball. Both the full size bottles are different and I want both--too hard to decide!

Totally LATE AF to this...but, I picked this up at my local Shoppers Drug Mart maybe about 6 months ago, ONLY because as I was browsing I seen it on the fragrance "sale" rack for only $19.99 (for the full size bottle). I will only ever purchase "celebrity fragrances" when they are marked down to the $19.99 sale rack lol. The reason for this is because I personally do not find celebrity fragrances like Britney spears, Taylor swift, JUST in bieber, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, Beyonce, and the list goes on...to be a nice enough quality to even bother with owning them. I do however, love collecting fragrances, but on a much higher price point, more from designer fragrance brands you would find at places such as Sephora and The Bay fragrance counters..etc. The issue I found with this particular fragrance was the LACK of scent AT ALL!... First I should mention that at Shoppers Drug Mart the fragrances on "sale" or "clearance" do not have any open bottles to see if you like thevscebt before you buy it, and trust me if there had been an open bottle of this particular fragrance, I definitely would NOT have bought it!

I really like Lady Gaga, but I didn't like her first fragrance that much to be honest. It doesn't seem like a female scent, idk... it smells a little bit weird to me. But, hey "to each it's own" :) I really love Britney Spears fragrances, they smell amazing!

But I do find it strange that the whole "should be more unique" thing is brought up when you seem to have no problem with every other celebrity perfume smelling the same.

She should just name the scent FAME MONSTER because she is representing the Dark Side or the Black Side of FAME. not the the single word FAME which is about spotlight how you can amaze people or how entertain people which is the Good and Bright side of FAME. but this is the Dark side so FAME MONSTER will suit more for the name of the perfume.

Why does this perfume remind me of Britney's Midnight Fantasy crossed with Justin Bieber's Someday (just the grape scent part)? The bottle looks like it should be Sigourney Weaver's "Ripley" character's perfume from the Alien films. The perfume looks like it came out of the alien, or from outerspace itself. Sci-fi perfume looking bottle and liquid, but not the scent. "The fragrance has landed" should be the motto. I agree that it should have been a unisex scent. I smell black cherry or cherry???

I felt this was the peachy version of "Can Can" by Paris Hilton (which I prefer). I love Gaga (even though I'm too old considering myself as part of a certain group of devoted fans) and I had high expectations. Honestly? I found the bottle cheap looking and the cap looks like a mortal weapon. The fragrance was soft on my skin and very much like peach kool-aid, very boring. The lasting power was a shame. Now, if we consider teen fans dousing themselves with this, I apreciate the softness.

I felt the same way about it! It was very ordinary, i expected something more..........original, louder and more daring! The whole advertising campaign didn't seem to fit the perfume or other way around!!
