I had to have this procedure done due to a blood issue that caused a large clot in my thigh. Wow!!!!!! surgeons are outstanding in what they do. Had to watch a video to see what they did to me.

I had this surgery done. They first tried a stanch. My artery was totally blocked so we had to do a bypass on the veins. They said the operation was a success, and I am now presently going through the healing process..

I had this done and had a fasciotomy to save my life and my leg.. being a diabetic I let all circulation and early gangrene.. I refused amputation and so I was taken to the vascular operating room.. For me it worked ..I woke up with 120 Staples in my leg.. That was 8 years ago..I stopped smoking , that night..iI had multiple trips to the operating room for one year because I was sent to a nursing home to rehab and was assaulted by a nurse who ripped out ,,30 Staples..I was extremely lucky.. the night I went to the operating room nobody was scheduled ahead of me and my Surgeon honored my wishes..I still have my leg

I’ll be getting similar surgery in a couple of months. Mine will come from upper-inner right thing with incision coming down and just over the knee to the outer side. A few years ago I had right ilio femoral bypass graft done. 😊❤️🇨🇦

I've already had a double Cabg 8 years ago, and they used a vessel from my left leg, now I need this done in both legs, and facing open heart again. I am terrified of this procedure for some reason. I've done everything I am supposed as far as diet for Diabetes and my A1C just won't come down. Dr. said it isn't my fault, I'm just one of those "lucky ones" I also have a severely calcified aortic valve, but they are concentrating on my legs first. I've had 7 caths already, and they have been difficult because I have tiny" arteries. I'm about to turn 56 in July and am so terrified I am going to lose my legs. Already have severe neuropathy as well. This was informative, thank you. Now to decide if I want to go through with it.

My vascular doctor tried a surgery similar to this on me on my leg this last January '19 and was unsuccessful. I had blockage in two arteries they couldn't detect prior to surgery. They wasted my time and now I'm still recovering from the pain of the failed surgery and daily swelling in my leg and foot. So much for technology but at least they made their money.Afterwards a radiologist then cleared out the artery.
