Guess I should've made this comment on the last video, but Ray...I'm SO glad that you're ok. That was such a scare and you're such a special guy. Seeing you in this video joking around and being your usual self just brings home how special and vulnerable our loved ones are and can be. Grateful you're still here, healthy and going strong!

Make sure you are buying the ‘impact rated’ T20 bits. Lots of cheaper ones at the big box stores that will break otherwise

Idk. I snapped 3 T15 GRK bits the other week when I was installing cabinets. Best part is that it was the bit that was supplied with the screws. I was using both impact and a regular drill. 😅

Also buy good screws, Ive had impact rip screw heads off. Starting to think maybe a normal drill is better for some kinds of jobs.@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers

@@PerkinsBuilderBrothersthe impact ones are softer. They might not break but could wear/strip. They just don't make good tools anymore like the old days.

Hey, I'm happy to hear that you like Ryan's Shed Plans. kzfaq.infoUgkxBE-xSmFU7PIaMFUmmhnFxE035s5svtxeIt's a cool guide that shows you how to build any kind of shed you want. It has all the stuff you need to know, like what materials and tools to use, how to plan and design your shed, and how to put it all together. It also has tons of pictures and diagrams of different shed types and styles, so you can see what they look like and how to make them. Ryan's Shed Plans is awesome, because it makes shed building fun and easy. You can have your own shed in no time. cool

That is a massive Wolf Spider, 2 inches max. Looks nasty, not poisonous, just omInous. I was researching what spider that was and discovered you have a "butt load" of nasty spiders, 130+ species. Thanks Canada for the cold winter months... KELLY

So here a new one, how about teaming up with Mattel and come with a DIY Perkins Brothers doll house. So parents can DIY the doll house Perkins Style, and the kids can play with it. Even with Perkins crew live action dolls. (make sure the trousers are glued to the dolls so no Village People fans are getting to excited) Give it a thought,.. and 10% to me for bringing it up.

This build has now made me start planning my future “mountain modern” build. We’ll Probably end up building somewhere in N GA (We live about an hour south of Blue Ridge so I’d like somewhere within a couple hours of our house). We finished and moved in our custom build (that I GC’ed) in July 2022, so I’m starting to forget about how crazy life was for that year of building, just in time to start planning a new one 😂🤣😂.

i found a trick on you tube dr decks that works great for the visible screws on the perimeter board. to hide the fastener you can get a countersink bit and a matching size plug cutter bit. gut plugs from a piece of scrap, drill counter sink holes for the screws. mount the boards then with a dab of superglue tap in a plug making sure it is shallow enough to flush with the surface. literally invisible.
