Sadly, they were too expensive for most people's budgets, but now Perlisten has introduced a new series that has a similar sound but for half the cost of the Signature speakers. @therealshanelee gives us a break down of some of the R-series speakers from Perlisten he has in for review courtesy of our friends @Dreamediaav.

Perlisten is feeling the pressure of trying to sell very high cost speakers in a market of very good but cheaper speakers. I agreee with the other comment, $100 for grills, that's ridiculous, really Perlisten! Seems to me this is a way to help make up the "lower cost" of these speakers.

What is more interesting to me is the competition on the Perlisten R5M. From the same designer of perlisten we have the Arendal 1723 Monitor which is $500 cheaper than the Perlisten. Is the R5M worth the extra money? These types of videos are great for drooling over new equipment but they give very little in the way of help to a person trying to decide which speaker is better for their money. Looking forward to watching some videos where comparisons are made. Hopefully Erin gets one of these bad boys in for testing.

ARE those the perelisten stands and if so what are their dimensions and are they adjustable?

They're not but the perlisten stands are 20" tall non adjustable.

Don't buy the grilles. The speakers look and measure better with them off.

Agreed. You can't tell me that including 2-3 grilles (depending on the speaker) would cut into Perlisten's profit margin that much.

If you’re going to get the iso acoustics for the tower speakers, they cost about $200 each speaker not 300. That’s the wrong weight. You want the Gaia iii’s for 70 pounds or less

dpc array vs d'appolito coaxials.. would be good compare.. Perlistens according one review is the closest a box speaker to open baffle transparency, so there is that

@@geo1033 Looking at the specs of both and whitepapers my instinct tells me that KEF R6 meta will sound just a little bit better with music at lower volumes but the Perlisten R5m will outperform the Kef when it comes to playing loud. In larger rooms the Perlisten will definitely be superior. The above is my opinion only.

@@Audioholics Do not care! the Computer and Phone is NOT 10 or 20k. My speakers made in USA ARE! It is almost like you justify NOT buying American MADE or European made speakers instead why??? Btw folks there are still great speaker makers right here in the US. I will name a few. Magnepan, Salk, Ohm, Legacy, Magico, Wilson, Tekton, Avalon, Klipsch, Daedalus among many others! Some of these mentioned are on the extreme budget end I get it. Some are STILL AFFORDABLE though! I will not spend major money to go to china especially with far better offerings like many I just mentioned. I WILL KEEP MY legacy Focus SE bought just couple years ago directly from Legacy Audio along with their components any day over these Perlisten speakers! I say this not just because of the current political situation with China but also out of principle and the quality of the product. It is one thing to make a product look nice, and even perform good, and another to have incredible customer service on something the company puts their blood sweat and tears into producing. I rather pay a little more for that!

@anthonymartino9917 You do realize most if not all of the parts in your Legacy speakers are globally sourced, right? I've been to their facility, and they are a channel partner and friend. There is no such thing as a speaker made in America. In Legacy's and Magico cases, they are assembled in America. But look, Kef, Revel, Perlisten, and many others are making high end speakers in China because you get a much better overall speaker for the money. Perlisten would cost what Magico do if made here.

@@AudioholicsThat's a bold statement, on each audiovideo show there are hundreds of brands that no one ever heard. Super high end market is especially saturated with different brands and popularity of them varies in different countries. Its really not unusual to not listen every one of them and the choice is super big in any direction you choose at this price point
