I know this video is 3 years old and you probably aren't answering these comments any more, but I'm so intimidated by the thought of going out in a piece with so much permatease! I've never had that much hair and it looks so strange on me I feel like it's obvious that it's a wig. While most people around me know I wear wigs now, I still want to look fairly natural. Even my husband said my latest permateasy wig looks weird on me.

Some people don't really like the pematease. But as an avid wig addict I happen to really like it ! I love the one that you have on in this vid ! Taz, Thank you so much, I have had my May by Noriko in my closet for seven years and thanks to this video you showed me how to make the permatease look natural, I got her out messed with her, parted her different, because she didn't want to style the way they made her, so I let her have her way, and she is amazing and I love her now and I think I'm going to love permatease. I always love watching your videos, you are stunning in any hairstyle! PERMATEASE can make or break a wig in my opinion. Movement and texture in a wig makes it look more like real hair.

It's helpful to go over all this, Taz. I particularly like taking that Renau comb and pulling up the fibers away from the cap. Dolce is one of my favorite Noriko wigs. It is just timeless and adorable (on you especially). I think it is imperative to get a rooted hair color when you have permatease. I have never been a fan of big hair because I have an oval face it and overwhelms me. But, I have tamed it on Claire and Jackson. Also, I bought Envy's Roxy a few years ago, a relatively expensive wig, with a completely hand-tied cap. It has no permatease at all and looked dreadful on me -- so flat against my head. I donated it and never wore it. Permatease is a good thing!

I’m not a fan of perma tease & it’s because my hair has always been soooooo fine. It looks really unnatural on me! I’ve switched & have tried some amazing human wigs & toppers, which do not seem to have any, maybe a little? The affordable & legitimate places I have found for human hair is Uniwigs, yswigs & Everyday Wigs. If I could find a synthetic that worked, I’d be all about it. The only synthetic that I will still wear is my Wavecut by Hairdo. I WANT to wear my cute Ellen Wille synthetic, I do want to wear synthetic at times. I’m working on getting there. Thank you for helping us all get there♥️😉.

Honey, find a good hairdresser that will shape one of your wigs to your face... You'd be surprised how a little shaping of the front area /bangs to YOUR face will go. And have 1,2 galpals who love and support you - yet tell you like it is - go with you n let you know how you are looking. Then go shopping n have them watch you out in it... Betting you're just not used to "you" being a little different... Go for it!

Thank you for this information, there is a big difference in the two different types of permatease as I have just discovered! I just received a Fresh Chic by Gabor and the permatease is essentially nonexistent. When you look at the rootline you can see the hairs have been crimped, but they are flat, they don’t lift up. I can’t get any volume in the top of this which is in direct contrast with every video I have seen on it! I’ve also heard that it’s been compared to Sweet Talk, and I had a sweet talk which had a ton of permatease . I’m just not understanding why my recent purchase is so flat?

My bio hair is so thick I need some bulk to feel "normal" because flat hair looks ridiculous on me, lol, and I appreciate the tips for hiding the part area bulk, that is the one area that bugs me. I actually like permatease in a wig, i feel like it makes it look more realistic-- on me anyways-- because i dont normally have a really defined part in my hair, and it hides the wefts... and I like my hair to be a bit "fluffy' !

Hi Debera. YOu can try using the heat from your hands to "devolumize" in the trouble areas... I do not know of any permanent methods.. I tried steaming down some permatease once.. the wig lost its shape. It was a disaster..lol XOXO

The only other tip I can offer other than these is to use the heat from your hands to devolumize... There is no permanent way to reduce the permatease.. I tried steaming it down once... wig lost its shape and it was a disaster. XOXO

I have a wig (my first one) that has permatease around the hairline and I hate that it irritates my forehead and temples so I can't stand to wear it but an hour or two, even though I use a wig cap grip band. Any suggestions?

Hi Gwen.. everyone's head is shaped differently.. and each wig can be a little different too. If you find that most wigs you try are baggy in the same area, its probably your head... but if this particular case is a one-off, then not to worry. I have had to remove or tie together wefts on certain styles to tighten up the bagginess.. the fact is, you just never know.. XOXO

A wonderful video on permatease Taz! I have some with and without, depending on my daily plans. I love the suggestion to mix it up on the top to disguise the permatease--a must for some pieces that are so obvious. Off topic a little, I was just s rolling through your favorite things and when I came upon your skin moisturizer cream and bar (CerVe), I noticed both have parabens in the ingredients. Parabens are known carcinogens. Just a heads up. There are many companies that have paraben-free outstanding skin products on the market now. 😘

Thanks for this video Taz😊 I don’t like too much permatease. I’m not keen on that poofy look. Maybe as my hair is thin so I’m not used to having much hair anyway, I don’t know. My Editors pick seems to have quite a lot of permatease. I love this wig but don’t like so much hair on top. It looks abit fake in my opinion. Everyone’s different though. Just one other question...do you know if the belle tress kona or Peppermint wigs would look natural in the butterbeer shade please? I’m worried that their wigs are actually thin to the point of showing wefts through, and also with the dark route, worried the lace front will look obvious and unnatural. Thankyou😊

Hi Taz. I have bought 9 wigs so far, all of them have been what you reviewed. I only have one that I was so disappointed in, and that was the REESE. Through this, due to my head being “flat” on top, I have realized that for me, I need as much permatease as possible. My favorite is the Sonoma! Based on this, what other wigs would you recommend that give me a “bump” on top, having a lot of permatease?
