Last time we were at Port of Leith Distillers we picked up a sample of their new blended Scotch whisky, Perpetuity and we really enjoyed it. We had heard how many good reviews the Thomson Bros 6 year old blend was getting and decided to pit them against each other!
We are loving the rise in quality, craft blends and are looking forward to trying and reviewing more in the near future!!!

I opened TB/BSW two weeks ago and instantly fell in love with it. Just perfect for easy sipping on a warm spring day.

Hello ladies, what a funny review. I really liked your associations with fish, butter and sausages. Never heard this before in a whisky review. I already tried the TBW. It was good. Need to go hunting for the Perpetuity. A sample would be cool for a start. Keep on entertaining us. Cheers from Germany

Never thought I'd hear battered sausage as a reference in a whisky review what next it smells of "chups",great review though ladies as always

My favorite Scotch Blends so far are Black Bottle and Johnnie Walker Green Label....both are a little smoky but fruity as well....The Black Bottle is a real great deal budget wise, currently going for 32 dollars canadian, whereas the JW Green Label is 15 years old, so is 110 dollars canadian a bottle right now. So one budget and one more expensive.

I would highly recommend Naked Grouse (now just called Naked) and Compass Box Orchard House for some rather pleasant and very affordable blends of single malts. Monkey Shoulder is also quite nice but a bit too young for some people's tastes. Also, don't ignore the Gauldrons, Timorous Beastie, Rock Island and other malt blends from Douglas Laing. In fact, it's hard to go wrong with anything from Compass Box or Douglas Laing in general, but some of their offerings can get a bit pricey. There are other single malt Scotch blends that others may be familiar with and can comment on that I haven't tried yet like Gladstone Axe, Sheep Dip and Mossburn.

How many whiskies have you had that single evening when you were wearing those clothes. Considering that, you seem quite sober to me :). Anyway your diggin into some whiskies i will probably never try in my life and i am coming back to you guys since you amuse me a lot. Keep up the good work.

First - you guys have the most fun reviews on all of youtube. Not even close. Second - Who cares about the color of the bottle - one of the best blends - timorous beastie is in a bottle dark as night. Never heard a whisky described as deep fried sausage or the corner of a fish.........🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy!
