NOTES, for anyone trying to do this and hasn't(or has) installed the Sump Restrictor Fitting: Car: 2018 WRX Prem. The Sump Restrictor Fitting is 1/4'' wide, the Oil Drain Fitting on the AOS is 5/16''. My kit didn't come with a 5/16'' nor a 1/4'' hose for this part (also didn't feel comfortable fitting a larger hose on a smaller fitting), so I made a 5/16'' to 1/4'' adaptor (you can find ones online, but it was just quicker for me to go to the store and make one from a 5/16'' fuel hose fitting, and 1/4'' fuel hose fitting, a connector to screw them both into and plumbers tape. SHE'S A BEAUTE!) and got some 5/16'' hose to connect from the AOS to the adaptor and 1/4'' hose to connect from the adaptor to the Sump Restrictor, with proper sized hose cramps. Might have been overkill, but I sure felt a lot better about it.

The baffling is superb on this AOS, 3 chambers. I wouldn't care to open it up for servicing because it increases the chances for leaks. Just check your boost hoses and PCV hoses for evidence of oil, while doing oil analysis between servicing to see what contaminants are present. My only con with this version of the AOS is I would have recommended a more dense media for filtration, like the one found in Moroso's AOS, as foam will degrade over time. Nice how-to!!

Definitely like the more compact form factor of the Perrin compared to the IAG. I know the IAG has been tried and true so that’s what I went with months ago. Interested in seeing how long term use will be with the Perrin.

Great install vid with awesome details! Really appreciate it as I think you're the first one to review this product. Looking forward to updates on how it does. :) Just two quick questions: 1. Is the turbo sump restrictor required for this AOS to work properly or do they just include it as a free bonus? I haven't seen any other AOS or catch-cans on the market require it so I'm curious as I'm not sure if it's beneficial on let's say a stock car that just wants this AOS installed and nothing else. 2. Have you heard anything from Perrin or anyone else about having to increase the frequency of oil changes with an AOS installed? It seems logical as there are definitely other things in blowby that will get dumped back into the oil other than just oil (unburnt fuel, moisture, etc...) but not sure how badly they affect it.

Excellent questions! You sparked my curiosity. I would ask Perrin to be honest. As with other AOS's on the market, an oil analysis would be a good way to gauge if an increase or decrease in oil change intervals would be needed.

Hey you missed a stepson what to do with the 3/8 npt fitting. Lol was following this and just assumed that a hose ran from that crank case fitting to the empty input

only video on this ....... If you have the EGR, remove crank case vent hose its in the way and you can do the 90 turn easier then go back to 2:54 and continue

good info, only suggest that you lower the volume of your music to be on the same level as you voice, had to turn it up to hear you some times... then you cut to music for a few seconds and its blasting, just for me to turn it down and you start talking and I can't hear you again. but good video.
