I didn't know there's magical girls like that back then. Thought it all starts after Sailor Moon.

It's all starts by Sally the witch,which was released in 1969,then came out Himitsu no Akko chan,Ecchi,and more.But the genre was desconstructed at the 90's.Sailor Moon was the first Magical girl that becomes heroines,came up Cardcaptor Sakura,Ojamajo Doremi,PreCure,And more.You can see a history about Magical girls in YT :)

Studio Pierrot made various magical girl anime in the 80s, they're all lovely and cute, my favorite is Persia but I also like Minky Momo, Creamy Mami and the others too ofc
