John is a very personable guy but kinda to himself. If you noticed when watching him at comic con he watches and listens a lot and only engages when he wants to get something across or is asked a question.

When she joined the show she did it because they agreed she was going to die, it was basically a request from Taraji who didnt want to commit for countless seasons, she has other personal goals to achieve in acting, its not like J Nolan went sadistic for the ratings, gotta respect her wish.

Hugo Couto, Yes, she did know that she would be let go at some point in time, but even she said in a "live" web chat that she had NO idea her 'fan following' would grow to be so BIG, and that she's very sorry they've been let down like this. She's asked us to continue watching not only the show, but her in her new movie as well. I feel very sad and am trying hard to come back and not give up, but I'm very serious if they pair John with Shaw (I sorta enjoy her dry wit, but she just isn't the right person for him, my opinion only) or Zoe then I really will move on from here. Some folks just don't seem to get just how much Carter really meant to John and for the Writers and Creators to keep killing off the women he 'loves' just isn't working for me.

I started watching last month on Netflix and was hooked! It's a great show. I just watched Carter's last episode :( so sad she was a brilliant character. Played by a beautiful and talented actress. I will miss Detective Carter T_T

+Anita Raj When you watch season 4 episode 20, watch very carefully it is tricky. Season 4 is about staying alive and running and saving people all at the same time. If you don't understand it you will not like it. This is also a gathering of new people in the cause.enjoy Chirp

+Anita Raj Same here. Just discovered POI on Netflix a weeks ago. Instant addiction. Carter was one of the best. I miss her. The show is still good but I can still feel the void. I'm on season 4 now. Hoping to see at least flashbacks of her.

kyng cocky, I think they'll survive but 'filling that hole' might be a little bit more difficult. She brought an 'element' to this show that I'm not certain even they're aware of, she and Finch helped Reese keep it together and while Finch will be staying on, it makes me seriously wonder about the 'female half' that was finally getting Reese to be more 'human' at times. If Zoe or Shaw steps into Carter's 'shadow' not so sure I'd want to hang around and watch that happen.

Jeanne Myers AMEN. If John gets into any sort of romantic relationship with Zoe or Shaw (beyond the sexual one with Zoe already mentioned, unfortunately) I will probably throw things at my TV.

TheTranquilMadnes, I'll do more than throw things, I WILL STOP watching the show altogether, and I'm NOT kidding (I realize it won't change anything with 'regular' viewers, but I've been here from the 'beginning' and am definitely not going down that road). I'm about to have some John and Joss t-shirts made up, and that will be good enough for me if this show ends up just where I think it's going (and I've already ordered Season 1 and will be ordering Seasons 2 and 3 very soon as well, so if things don't work out I can watch these two over and over and over again.).

I'm seriously tempted to stop watching. Carter gave the show something unmistakable and irreplaceable, and the first episode I ever watched was the one when her number came up, so arguably she's among the three I'm most attached to (John and Harold being the obvious other two). I know they're trying to balance out the man-woman ratio, but that doesn't matter to me in the slightest. I want good, solid *characters*; I could not care less about even gender divides, and Shaw and Root inspire no love or admiration in me. Carter did.

TheTranquiMadnes, I am too but I just want to see how this is going to move forward without her. Folks are asking that we 'stop' already with these posts and move on, by saying "Taraji wanted to leave any how", when she never even asked to do so. I'm also trying to figure out who that 'moral compass' is going to be now (Finch was the 'male version' but Carter brought it home for John, and that can't be duplicated)? I'm putting a time limit on what 'I' see going forward and if this ends up the way I think it will, then I will pull out for good. I'm still waiting for John's 'real sense of grieving' and I'm NOT talking about him sitting at bar drinking himself senseless, I mean getting down to the 'grit' on how he 'really felt about Joss and getting it out into the open, in order to let the healing begin'. I don't see anything remotely near this yet, but it is the beginning, so we'll see where they go from here.

Алексей Кашин She was the only person of color in the cast at the time. If you don't understand the history of blacks on TV you will never understand.

I loved Carter's character not because she was black but because she was written well. She had tonnes of integrity and it while it was sad, her death served the narrative, and the overall quality of of the story is more important than some misguided drive to enforce racial quotas. Her exit from the show brought the focus back to Finch and Reese and it's their friendship and partnership that functioned as the essential heart of the show...no matter how many other characters we cared for along the way.

Title isn't a spoiler... if you even watched PoI you'd know one of them was going to die.

upanddowntwice1 Actually, I think he's talking about the title and the thumbnail, they changed the thumbnail after a considerable amount of complaints, it showed whoever died, dead on the fucking thumbnail. I was also watching season two when this video showed up in my sub-box. I was displeased to say the least.
