March 5 2020 Man im still sad about this

I’m not joking saying this but this is the last song I wanna hear on my deathbed. It sounds so peaceful and ironically enough like the song title, it does bring me memories of my happiest days and it’s a song I cherish too since Persona 3 bought me outta a dark place and made me appreciate life so much. To me, this song and game is more than a video game. It’s something special I now hold dear to my heart.

I know y'all want Minato to return, but think about this. Death has a meaning in SMT games. Dead characters simply don't come back. Take note that all games with MC in it happen *before* January 31st. Also, if Elizabeth frees him from his fate as the seal, he doesn't actually have a body, since it died years ago (take note persona 4 & 5 are in the same world/universe as p3, for example the trip to Tatsumi Port Island in p4 and the references to p3&4 in p5. 20xx could be at any point of time but the p3/4 characters are still alive so it would probably be in the 2020's and that MC's body could be dead for a decade). Yes, Igor can create a new body for him, I'm aware of that, but chances are he would be a Velvet Room attendant instead of going back to their world. Going back to Elizabeth freeing him, it might just be for allowing him to finally rest in peace so he can actually be dead and not half dead, half alive.

Minato is being hung by cherry tree branches. ._. The cherry tree petals are falling too. This actually makes sense, considering the fact that falling cherry petals mean death in Japan. Those leaves, along with the cherry branches closing in around Minato's neck, are basically foretelling death. You can be spoiled by looking at this seemingly innocent image. :O

seriously, this game just sets the bar waaaay too fucking high. how am I supposed to even enjoy any other game after I've tried persona, huh?

It's been several years since i finished Persona 3, the ending was a huge tearjerker for me as well, but i can't help my self but wonder, why does Makoto's death was so sad? I finally came up with my answer. SPOILER ALERT Makoto lost his family when he was young, i just assume that he grew up all by himself since then. He often portrayed as an emo teenager with almost no feelings or care for his surroundings, until he moved to Gekkoukan joined SEES . This characterization is pretty much the result of he witnessing death so early, but that's not just it, after losing his teammates, knowing that his friends have lost someone as well - specifically their family (Yukari, Mitsuru, Ken, and Akihiko). At the beginning, he almost doesn't care about others feelings, but after the time he spends with his friends and social links, he slowly able to find a meaning to life, even after warned that everything will eventually comes to an end. Thanatos, the persona of death arcana , is naught just Pharos or Ryoji, but is Makoto's view of his surroundings, DEATH. He keep witnessing death over and over again, but those deaths also gave a huge motivation for him and his friends to be stronger and move on, this realization made him able to find meanings of life behind death. Yet, his realization about what it means to live, ultimately lead to his sacrifice to save the world and his friends, with a price of his soul, on his own free will. But nevertheless, he's fine with his decision, for he already aware that everything will die eventually. In my conclusion, Makoto's death teaches that everything will eventually come to an end, but that's why we have to live our lives with all of our strength, for life is supposed to be cherished in our heart with all people we come across and the moment we spent together, that so we can be happy and satisfied with the live we have spent. Rest in Piece, Makoto Yuki. *CRIES*

When his face appeared when the music started, I felt my heart break into a million pieces again. Just when I thought I'd gotten over his death. Looks I'll never be able to forget this character. :')

I hope they don't change this song in Reload, or at least not too much. It represents the atmosphere of the last part of the game perfectly.

Coming from someone who’s about to enter his final year of high school, listening to this really cements the fact that the near 13 years that i’ve spent with everyone is about to be over, but I can still cherish those memories and the friends who helped made them along the way.

Although I came here every 5th of March but this year I come earlier because of the P5R, I never stop appreciate how this game change the way I interpret my meaning of life

I can honestly say that after playing persona 3 and 4 I walked away as a different person.

It's that time of the year again. 5th March. The day we all gather to honor our memories of him.

From the thumbnail I legitimately though that was a noose around Makoto's neck and he was being yanked by it.

Who is ready to get destroyed by feels with Persona reloaded? Me for sure 14 years after I played the original 3.

11 years ago today a boy saved us all from our own hope for the end using himself as the seal, leaving behind all the friends he had made along the way. Let us remember him not in sadnesses but in joy for the time with spent with him

Holy shit, this game hits hard. Minato gave his life to save the world but only his friends knew. He pushed himself for a month to keep the group’s promise yet he was functionally dead at this point. He found his answer to life which was fucking powerful. He’s in a coma right now as the seal. I hope Elizabeth gets to free his soul so he may Rest In Peace.

I don’t know why but this song always gives me a sense of memories. It’s a hard thing to describe but every time I listen to this I feel like I am rethinking on a great memory.

Persona 3 is a great game and even movies as well. It means a lot to me. Makoto, thank you for everything you have accomplished so far. I just wanted to say that you are just amazing person I thought you'd be. I just wish you spend time together with your friends to have some fun. But you, you are different, Makoto, I believe that Aigis is correct. She will always protect you and she wants to see you with her very eyes, but since you're gone, Aigis will always thinking about you. That's why I really want Elizabeth to free you from the seal so you can return to the normal world to see your friends, your team and especially Aigis because she cares about you the most. I'm really glad that your team defeated Erebus so your death won't be in vain. So please, hang in there. Goodbye, Makoto Yuki. Rest peacefully. You are the best protagonist there is.

I think in all Personas I think 3 genuinely made me feel despair but also a sense of accomplishment and when Aigis is comforting you when this track played not gonna lie a tear was shed its such a powerful ending and it astonishes me that we have not had such an emotionally gripping ending in Persona let alone a JRPG (at least for me) in a while and this game is over 10 years old now.
