@@neonayse8803 its less ironic when you see it from a Gnostic interpretation. They saw the creator god as an either malevolent or incompetent deity. Or some varying degrees of both. So typically anything that is deemed righteous and good in established abrahamic religion was subverted. so anything thats role was protection can be seen as suppressive from a gnostic lens

Eh...Gabriel has always been the nice Archangel of SMT even when you don't go Law in the mainline she is usually pretty chill.

Regardless of SMT1 you would fight Michael last anyway, he is the the higher of the 4 by lore itself lol It is a nice touch though, considering how SMT-ish this game tried to be at times :p

Alright. Considering the shift in tone and just about everything with P4 and P5, was actually unsure.

Yeah, they are just Shadows. It's a similar reasoning as to why the regular enemies looked like SMT Demons now; the cognitions of servants of a god being the famous Archangels is because of the images of them floating around in the collective unconscious. That's the point the game's trying to make; they may seem all high and mighty and larger than life, but they're just some silly shadows with a bit more power than normal that took those forms on to try and look important.

Nihil Ego I love this explanation, it makes perfect sense. I always curious as to why the shadows had a dark aura around them, but I that’s a good answer.
