Persona 5 Royal, alternatively known as P5R and called Persona 5: The Royal in Japan, is an enhanced port of Persona 5 to be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The game's release date was confirmed for October 31, 2019 in Japan. Not too long after, a western release was confirmed for Spring 2020.

It's because both Yu and the other Makoto (Yuki) are cognitions here, rather than the actual people themselves. Which is why both of them are only referred to by non-descript titles (it's not like Joker and co. should know who they are nor are the Velvet Room Attendants obligated to share that info. Remember that PQ2 isn't completely canon) and how it's even possible Yuki's here when he should be dead.

izanagi no okami was from the world card rigth? I don't remember very well but you could get izanagi no okami if you completed all the social links in persona the golden. I never could complete them all in the same playthrough

@@Hachikoi333 No that's for Persona 3. To get Izanagi No Okami, you need to see the true ending. Then at the Velvet Room on New Game+, a Dodecagon (12) fusion spread will be available to create him

Make sense, considering the events in the main, Royal and Scramble campaign, Mitsuru or at least Naoto might get a wind of the situation. Its understandable the past generations won't know how the events of P5 is connected to human collective unconsciousness and Shadows due the cognitive world being very different from their battles. The Shadow Operatives fights off Shadows appearing in the real world while the Inaba Investigation Team is a mix of SEES and Phantom Thieves; investigating the TV World and connections to the real world cases (Inaba murders and fog of lies, Labrys' robbery and Love Meet Bonds Festival). However the Day of Reckoning, Maruki's dreamworld and EMMA might at least catch their attention, possibly a secret investigation in order to connect the cases. Aigis and Yu are possibly on standby considering their role as Wild Cards is to prevent/delay humanity's innermost destructive desires from destroying humanity. I kind of imagine in the next P5 gen spin off after Scramble, Aigis and Yu prepares for the new battle and meeting the Phantom Thieves; Aigis visits Makoto Yuki's grave before being called by Fuuka and Mitsuru. Yu visits Marie in Inaba, taking a new katana and learns from Margaret on the new battle. I can imagine a surprise visit in Leblanc, when Ren managing Leblanc alone during Christmas-winter break, brought along Akechi's glove. I can imagine the awkwardness of Yu and Aigis being the only customers; a robot looking woman and a tall man asking Ren about Personas.

@@smilingman4299 possibly. I can guess that Igor might have noted Aigis on Akechi's situation, considering both of their problems are way too similar. Best bet Akihiko, Kurosawa and Chie helped in escorting Akechi out of Tokyo away from the Conspiracy and Public Safety eye. Its the only best option to protect Ren, in which he might had agreed to the situation, at least felt that his life was not worth living. The Shadow Operatives at least possibly change his mind of seeking death to finding a place to belong and new life direction.

Someone already explained this, but as well as Izanagi, Izanagi-no-Okami and Yoshitsune, Yu also uses Kohryu, Sraosha and Kaguya, the Ultimate Personas of the Hierophant, Justice and Aeon Arcanas represented by Ryotaro Dojima, Nanako Dojima and Marie

This kinda makes me wish for a mainline persona game (Not Q or the Arena/Ultimax games) that had heavier involvement from previous games' team members. I know that one of the reasons I was drawn to P4A was the idea of the older P3 cast interacting with the younger P4 cast.
