People or companies, before you apply HMO, check nyo muna. And dont get Maxicare. Just today I avail dental service using Maxicare. The dentist told me na case to case basis lng ang extractions. Got 6 teeths. Pero dalawa lng daw ang covered. Yung shallow and ma-uga na. The other 4teeths do raw covered dahil yung ugat daw is makapit pa daw. Kahit na in bad state na in terms of cavities due to numerous pasta na ginawa from the past. I end up paying 800/teeth x 4, then me charge pa yung xray, scrapings and yung tahi, for a total of 6thousand pesos. Yan ang MaxiCare. Marami nakatago na provisions na di mo alam na limits ng service that one can avail using this HMOs.

Ito din issue namin sa maxicare ngayon, sa company namin na maxicare ang HMO. Wala manlanh clinics at hospitals na tumatanggap sa maxicare since pina suspend nila. Sobranh hassle tuloy. Nakakaltas ka sa bagay na hindi naman nagagamit nakakainis sobra

HMO kc may limit lang usually 200k+ correct me if Im wrong.. tpos renew renew annually tpon pera..Insurance with investment ok din, parang nag iipon ka tpos pag may rider kang critical illness may makukuha ka pag naospital. Hanap nlng kayo ng product na fitbsa budget nyo

You nailed it. I can totally relate to this. Walang HMO kami at the time na tinamaan ang wife ko ng lymphoma. Total cost of everything amounted to close to 3M. That's pure out of pocket. Philhealth only covered the chemo itself so wala pang 50k ang nakuha from them. Di rin covered ng Z package so almost useless ang Philhealth. It took me nearly 2 and half years to recover financially. If we had HMO, it would have covered at least 80 percent of the bill. Yeah, its true, its better to pay extra kesa yung tamaan ka ng biglaan kasi sooner or later tatamaan ka.

Kumuha ako ng hmo, individual account since I resigned na sa previous job ko. Ang talo lang dyan hindi lahat sasagutin ang illnesses especially pag may pre-existing condition ka. I also experienced consulting an Internist just to request for a lab test for annual check up sana just to check if ok ang LDL HDL cholesterol etc ko. First time ko gagawin yung mga test under my hmo, pero may ceiling na agad pagkuha ko ng request ng lab works, hindi nila i-cover lahat kasi daw nilagay ng doctor ko sa request is "to rule out hypertension". Ayun kahit sinabi ng doctor ko na wala naman ako hypertension they considered me hypertensive already. Sabi ng doctor ko kasi daw pag hmo kailangan mag lagay ang doctor ng disease para magawa ang tests. So ano daw dapat ilagay nila na hindi ma sacrifice ang coverage ng hmo member? Pati sila confused na. Anyway, hmo is a good investment. But remember, only for your non-existing illnesses.

@JustMakeItHappen Yup. Yan na kinuha ko for my husband. Pero kasi sa prepaid you can only use it on a specific coverage. Like sa isang card worth Php 4999 0-59 years old unli consult and lab works pero walang coverage for er and confinement. And i'm sure hindi lahat ng lab works eh magagawa ng package nila like MRI etc. You need to buy pa the one with the coverage for er and confinement which is up to 50k lang ang coverage. But it's a good investment though kesa wala. Para less gastos na din sa doctors fee and lab tests. Sa Regular plan ng Maxicare kasi babayaran mo sya one time for full coverage of 1 year that's including doctors consultation, confinement, lab tests, therapy etc sa kahit saang hosp or clinics as long as Maxicare accredited. Pero yun nga sabi ng representative nila on the first 2 years na covered ka dapat walang lab works or tests na relating or concerning sa mga common diseases like hypertension, cancer, spine problem etc kasi kahit malaki ang coverage mo na kinuha they will limit it to 5k (if u get the coverage with pre-existing plan) or they will not cover it at all because they will consider it agad na "pre-existing". Kaya lagi ako nakikipagtalo pag kinukuhaan ako ng LOA pag may lab works sa akin sa representative ng HMO. Diba kaya nga tayo kumuha ng hmo para wala na tayo babayaran sa mga tests. Hay. Sad lang. Oh well, business pa din kasi yan kaya hindi lahat ico-cover. Ang mahal pa ng premium pag individual account. Lalo na pag may edad na ang kukuha. Kaya dapat pinaghahandaan natin talaga ang mga ganito lalo na pag nagkaka edad na, madami nang sakit na kailangan naka monitor ang specialist.

MAXICARE USER here pati tatay ko inavail ko for that. PROS: Sobrang sulit nya. Kase if wala kang health insurance. Yang HMO maganda benefits sa hospitalization. Si Papa ko few hours palang na maadmit sa hospital need ng 10k (dipende sa room at if private/public) for security para mailipat siya sa room. Pinresent ko lang Maxicare no need to pay for security payment na 10k. Also for 3 days sa hospital 60k need bayaran. Pero dahil may pondo yung maxicare niya bayad lahat yun, ang linabas lang namin na cash is 51 pesos. For check up , marami silang affiliated hospitals kaya halos ng pakiramdam mo na hindi maganda agad takbo sa Primary Care Center ng Maxicare. Sobrang modern din mga gamit nila sa center nila. Mga affiliated Hospitals nila e bongga din naman. Sa Pampanga, Clark Medical City pina- MRI and CT Scan tatay ko. All covered from Maxicare. May mga free vaccine shots like flu vaccines etc. Pag may supply sila. If kaming users e gagamitin yung card ng malaking halagang money, may employee sila na magcacall sa registered number mo at magcoconfirm if kami yung gagamit ng service na yon. Well informed ang mga users. CONS: Hindi lahat ng sakit kinocover gamit ang Maxicare. In case ng Papa ko, he was diagnosed with "Post Covid Syndrome". Neurologist need namin. Hindi covered yung sakit ni Papa at mga Neurologist hindi daw sila nakikiaffliated sa mga HMO. Minsan, mabagal magpaapprove si Maxicare pag may need kang medical services sa ibang clinic or hospital. It will take a day or 2 para maapprove.

HMO helps you protect sa saving you have in the bank, ang main purpose ng HM0 is for the member to be insured/covered sa health nila when worse comes to worse. Kung may i cash out ka naman maliit lang lalo if the procedure is not covered by hmo

Totoo yan may maxicare ako from company kya agad tinangap sa chinese Gen..naconfind pala ako due to pneumonia...inabot ako 12days sa hospital..pang 7days ko dumalaw ang taha maxicare para ivisit ako dko sure kong paano nila nalaman...Nong magchecknout ako inabot ng 40k+ bill ko pero wla nako binyaran kahit a single centavo kaya ang galing lang ni maxicare❤❤❤

Especial privilege lang po yung sa Covid concern kapag Philhealth ang pinag uusapan. Mas malaki ang budget ng gobyerno sa Covid patient dahil "siguro" sa pandemic.. Pero kapag ibang illness na , maliit lang ang coverage ng Philhealth. Like me , I was hospitalized for heart illness... Over half a million ang gastos sa hospital pero 30k lang ang share ng Philhealth.

Pero may mga affiliated hospital na nagpapabayad ng cash talaga dahil hindi nagre- reply ang maxicare mahirap makontak. Pahirapan din sa pagpa reimburse ng nagastos na pera lalo na dadaan pa sa 3rd party ang process. Three months na wala pa rin kahit email. After 30 days na pahintay pinaulit ng fill-up at 30 days na hintay ulit. Walang email man lang?

sir Chinkee, unfortunately Maxicare isn't as good as it used to be. A lot of doctors have also backed out from maxicare due to a lot of issues in both the doctors end and the clients end. can you recommend a different one, other than intellicare as intellicare is only for business HMO
