Yet Jack Ruby who was seen by the whole world killing LHO with 10 - 12 policemen present, 2 off whom admitted seeing Ruby approaching with a pistol drawn & did nothing to stop him, was exonerated of the charge of murder by the appeals court on the flimsy suggestion he did not receive a fair trial! Even the worst criminal is pronounced guilty after a fair trial, LHO was never afforded that courtesy, "Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." He probably didn’t even have time to react or was in shock, it happened so quickly, and the first shot that hit him, while not fatal, did damage, bruised his windpipe, went through his neck, and as others have stated, he had a very tightly bound back brace on. There just wasn’t time to react.
