I thought of something a bit different I was thinking of a character who can resist spells like the of of ancient paladin or Abjuration wizards

Personally, I think the mage slayer feat advocates for a melee character cause of the reaction and advantage, but a ranged character works as well, I personally would just make a Ancients Hexblade Lockadin with the curse feature that lets you teleport to them if they decide to misty step or something and just get into melee and essentially prevent them from doing any damage with any saving throws while also raining down smites or eldritch blast if you're far away, my build also prevents some attack spells along with saving throw spells because of the generally higher AC

What about dispel magic to destroy magical effects? Could it end all effects on a person, or just one magical effect?

This was good. It did remind me of a build I’ve been thinking of but have been struggling with. do you think you could do Kaiman from Dorohedoro at some point?
