We spent 24 hours in a HANGING capsule hotel and is was terrifying! These capsule hotels, hanging capsule hotel, hanging pods, tiny hotel rooms are a once in a lifetime stay! We've never had to climb to our hotel rooms before! 20 minute ferrata and we were up!
Located an hour a half away from Cusco city in Peru the Starlodge Adventure Suites allow you to spend a night in a hanging pod at 2900 meters above sea level with one of the best views of Inca’s Sacred Valley. However if you're afraid of heights like our Craig, this may be terrifying for you!
Owned by the company Natura Vive the pod also come with:
A high tub (hot tubs high up - makes sense!) We got to enjoy an open-air bath inside an Onsen-type wooden tub surrounded by the splendid view of the Sacred Valley.
A Double bed and two singles.
A 3 course meal and (not so) private bathroom with the world's greatest view (from a loo)
Breakfast in the morning.
All safety gear to get you up and down in one piece.
It'll set you back around £350pp (without the zipline experience) but it's a once in a lifetime experience, you can not miss!

I was in Peru in 2018 and saw the glass pods up on the edge of the mountains. TOO SCARY FOR ME!! Glad you got to go. Not an experience for me. I was down on the street by bus, looking up. I enjoyed looking, Somethings are best for others to do. Thanks for giving us the great view! Enjoy!!! 👍😘

I love that y’all show that you both have your strengths and weaknesses. We all have fears and they so often compliment our partners’ so that one person gets to be strong and supportive of the other while they are “in it”. I also love that you let us see the self-talk that shows us you are supporting yourself through your own tough patches.

Literally a cliff hanger! I’m with you Craig. Born and raised in Colorado. I’ve been here most of my 73 years. I still have trouble looking over the the edges of cliffs. I spent nearly 20 years living at about 9,000 ft. Driving in switchbacks to and from work every day, but standing on the side of a mountain looking down gives me vertigo. I could never stay in that pod, sweaty hands watching me you guys. We live near Red Rocks, best place to see a rock concert. You should come. I absolutely love you guys. ❤

Oh my! I hope the water in the tap is purified! Granted it was 40 years ago, but I got really sick from brushing my teeth from the tap at my friend’s family home in Lima. What an awesome way to star gaze in the Sacred Valley!!! Have you tried chewing Coca leaves yet, for the altitude sickness? Works like a charm!!!!

I had to laugh at this video. I have watched Aimee through all her panic attacks at things I do on a regular basis not fully understanding but certainly having empathy for someone going through such a struggle. Thin I watch Aimee practically skip through this climb! Aimee I have to tell you I would never have a panic attack doing that climb because I WOULD NEVER NEVER EVER DO THAT CLIMB! I WOULD NOT HAVE THE PANIC ATTACKS BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER HAVE THE COURAGE TO EVEN ATTEMPT SUCH A THING. I HATE HEIGHTS AND NEVER PUT MYSELF IN THAT POSITION. I ONCE DROVE ALL AROUND CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA BECAUSE I WOULD NOT DRIVE OVER A REALLY TALL BRIDGE. I WOULD NEVER GO ACROSS THE GOLDEN STATE BRIDGE I HAVE NO DESIRE TO GO TO THE GRAND CANYON EITHER. SO ALL I CAN SAY IS AIMEE YOU ARE SUPERWOMAN! YOU GO GIRL!

Peru is BEAUTIFUL and I MUST GO! Personally, I would LOVE to sleep there, but I'm married to a man deathly afraid of mountains and heights so it's a no-go for us! (Plus, to be perfectly honest, we're both large folks, and getting up and down would be difficult to say the least!)

Yeh! They went to the sister Lodge the skylode.. this one is the starlodge, only difference is we had hot tubs (winning) and had to come down for dinner and they got to stay up and have it high up!

I can totally sympathize with Craig. I had to climb up to the skylodge to zip line down when I was there in November. I have a fear of heights and climbing up was brutal for me.

Oh Craig I’m with you on the heights issue. There is NO way I could do that … my knees felt weak just looking at those minuscule steps. I’d be thinking I’m about to plummet to my death with every step. Hat is off to you Aimee you didn’t seem bothered at all !!! Brave lass ❤️

I would neve ever stay in a place like this I suffer from Claustrophobia and a morbid fear of falling from high places, I think you are both so wonderful and brave, I did watch all of it but was breathless all the way through. I did shut my eyes when you crossed the bridge and those metal plates for steps with the sheer drop. Peru looks like a beautiful place

Epic location. I’m afraid I would be stuck in the parking lot all night as I’m also terrified of heights. Happy to watch you to experience this once in a lifetime experience.

I have major Vertigo and pass out at small heights so this will never be for me! But loved getting to feel that I have been there, without moving from my sofa!! Stunning....and the view weren't too bad either! Lol! Massive love and kisses.
