I ordered a patio door from the pet door store and couldn’t be happier! No more getting up to let the dogs out as your comfortable sitting down at night watching a movie! The install took me 45 minutes, and anyone with a little adaptive touch can do. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to do this....lol

Your video answered many of my questions and sure made it look easy enough. I’m wondering if it can be put into an Andersen double pane slider….

We've sold a ton of these to people with Andersen doors. It has to be double pane, can't do single. The replacement window has tempered double pane with argon gas in between. I've only come across a handful of doors that were impossible to change the glass on. They were wood framed doors that were glued and nailed together. If you can change the glass and it is within the size limitations here, it will work.

This looks great! Is the door too heavy for a small cat, or is there some type of modification?

We have had people with cats and large dogs use the XL size for all of them. Cats are plenty strong. If you've ever tried to put your cat in a bath or a carrier, you know just how muscular they are. If your cat is timid that can be a problem, but if not, and if the cat likes to go outside you should be able to train it to use this door with no problems.

My experience with vinyl flaps like that is that, over time, they become scratched, stained and discolored by the dog going in and out. Is that piece easily replaceable?

Not as easily as a screwed in vinyl flap, but they can be replaced. These don't discolor as much, and they don't stretch and lose their seal like a traditional vinyl flap either. If they have a weakness it is that they can be chewed.

No, it's too expensive to ship across the border. We do have people ship to a UPS store or Mailboxes Etc just over the border though, and then go pick it up. Would need a full size truck or van to do so. BIG box.

A rubber mallet would decrease the pucker factor significantly.

What size dog door is this? Large?

The one in the video is a large, fits dogs to about 90-100 lbs. They also come in small (20 lbs max) medium (45-50) and XL (150).

Missed this comment, sorry. This does work with gas filled windows. The original gas filled insulated glass unit comes out without breaking the seal, and the windows in the Pet Door Guys product are gas filled as well.

If you are doing this by yourself I think you are far less likely to drop the glass if you lay the door flat. I hope the rest of your day is less annoying.
