The most unintentionally funny part about this game is that some of the footage of cows being 'tortured' is actually footage of people giving the cows medical care.

I kinda like the design of evil Ash as some kind of 'animal tamer' from the circus. (at least I assume that's the look they were going for) all the blood is unnecessary though. If you want to get the message across to children, I think sad faces and crying would do better than all the gore

I mentioned this game to my mom and told her about the game linking to the video of animals just being abused, and she said something that actually made me think: kids who are raised with abusive parents are more likely to be abusive themselves to their partner or children, as kids mimic those around them. Actually "Team Plasma" is from Pokémon Black & White. They parade around as a Pokémon activist group (think the in-universe version of PETA), but as you dig into their HQ near the end of the game you find out their leader Ghetsis (who wears a coat implied to be made out of the Pokémon that "failed him", for reference) is basically trying to take over the world is basically PokéHitler. The fact PETA painted them as the good guys shows how little they know about their source material.

They DO eat pokemon, in one episode of the original series of pokemon, professor oak is caught eating someone's krabby, pretty much any other times are pokedex entries talking about kids eating applins and appletuns.

I played black/blue when I was 10 and I've always had a really bad fear of blood. It was nightmare fuel and I didn't touch the computer for days, spending most of the time playing Soul Silver on the ds. Shocking kids doesn't exactly work, you'll just get them to hate the specific content and, later in life, to dislike its producer. Edit: right, I almost forgot. My diet includes little to no vegetables because I litterally can't bring myself to eat the majority of them, with the only exeptions being uncooked carrots and fennels, and omelette with spinach or zucchini. I will get sick if I eat anything else, last time I tried I vomited, so going vegan for me is unfeasible.

My fave pokemon theory - pokemon actually want to help you!! It was a developed thing between most pokemon as they were worried that humans would get hurt when traversing trails and woods. Actually, humans eating pokemon is a very common topic in the Pokémon franchise even some Pokédex entries talk about how good some Pokémon taste, also in sword and shield you can cook food and some of the food you can make include slowpoke tails, and krabbys and kinglers.

I look at Pokémon battles as either boxing, martial arts, or wrestling except with elemental magic. Pokémon are shown to actually enjoy battling each other and after they faint they’re trainers immediately care for them afterwards. In the show, it was shown that yes, it was confirmed in the games and anime that some pokemon products (like milk) and even the pokemon themselves are a source of food for humans. Pokédex have stated Claunchers and Crabrawlers have edible meat in their claws. The bones and scales of are Seadra and Gabite are ground up into medicine, there's even a folk tale about how people would eat Pokémon , then tossing the bones in the ocean in order for the Pokémon's skin to grow back. In other words, how they treat Pokemon isn't to different from how we treat animals. But if anything, it makes it message about treating creatures with kindness and compassion even greater".
