@@PetClubFriends She is young, 2 years old and full of energy 24/7. I have 6 tiels 4 of them are rescue, one is blind so she does not fly. All of them doing great!

@@PetClubFriends I have a lutino baby too! Before adopting another tiel to make company for Pikachu, how old is she? How long has she been with you? Lutinos are very sensitive, any environment changes can make huge impact on these babies 🐥

Good luck with your cockatiel! People usually prefer male parrots, but females are better in my experience because they’re so observant of everything going on and thus appear smarter. Males just... “mindlessly” repeat the same song most of the day.

Mine used to call to me like that. If I was in another room I would sometimes call 'Come on, then' and she would fly from room to room looking for me, using the call chirp every few seconds.

I’m no expert but I believe that is sort of an attention/ flock call. I have two males that do similar sounds when they suspect someone is near. They will often transition into singing when the short screeches don’t work.

@@blacky_Ninja some times I turn it into a game “ Song or Bird call” where I guess if my bird is trying to sing one of the songs i taught it or if it’s mimicking the calls of the native birds it hears outside the window.

It’s super rare, and I haven’t heard her do it in years, but my little cutie (almost 20 years old now) used to do this cute little sing-song, hard to describe it, and she’d only do it when nobody was around lol, though I could hear her from upstairs 🤣 she learned to develop a way of communicating with me based on the way I’d whistle at her. Very cute 🥰

Wow i hope she lives another 20! How did you be able to keep her for that long? İ bought a 2 month old but he died after a week. He didnt had sickness signs. Maybe my room was too cold? The vet said it was a respitory virus. İ felt so bad for the little guy :((

My female cockatiel used to mimick an ad song, so we thought she was a male then she laid some eggs 😂,and once she grew up she stopped singing, that is reason she is named leo , I love female cockatiel they are so adventurous and wild, of course I love the males they sing beautifully and very clingy and emotional from day one.

@@PetClubFriends I would say, once they are one year old and sometimes if there are other couples around that triggers them faster, and compatibility is important too, like it might be easier for some couples than others.

Sorry to hear that :( our cockatiel flew out of the house to a nearby rooftop. Fiancé had to get a ladder and climb up after her. She’s back home thankfully. That was scary though.

@@PetClubFriends since 2001 she was 6 weeks old at the time me and mom got her from a clsoe friend she just loves me so much she got along with cooper they never got close toe ach toher but they always talked back and forth cooper is a red tipped amazon who loves bell peppers so much sunshine later picked up on a few more songs too and mimicking the sound of a young raccoon when one came up one night she also can copy baby birds perfectly and say literally do you need a bird and when my oldere brother cooked or when i make coffee she would say hot hot hot hot im always amazed at how well she can whistle and say some words too.

I have a 9 month old female and an 8 month old male cockatiel. The male is playful and keeps playing with the toys but the female screams very loudly even though I am close to her. And she also comes to bite. She bites the male too even though he doesn't bite back.But I hand feed her. Can anyone tell me the reason behind her screaming so much and why is she so aggressive and unfriendly to us and even the male ?

I have a female called Nininha and two males: Nick and Branquinho. They fight over her but today Nick was 😚😘 on her and soon after she was wanting to "mother" with Nick... And it was raining...
