I respected the hell out of these two even when I thought they had ghostwriters. Knowing they really are just that good is insane. Masterful lyricists with the history to back up their words. Legends.
@JoshuaTraffanstedt
@JoshuaTraffanstedt Ай бұрын
It's not that hard to write, but unfortunately it's either something you have or don't. If you weren't writing all your life, you're not going to be a lyricist, poet, or author. Writing has to be something you love. It's not something you just pick up at 70. These guys were writing something all their lives, I guarantee it.
@SingerSaraneth
@SingerSaraneth Ай бұрын
@@JoshuaTraffanstedt I see lyricism like a muscle you can exercise. Everyone has it--you're human, you're born with it--but it atrophies without use. These guys caught a wave and released some stuff that, at the start, I'm sure was pretty shaky, but they've been embraced by the community and validated, and that spurs a creative bent like nothing else can. Regular exercise = strong muscles = easier exercise
@JoshuaTraffanstedt
@JoshuaTraffanstedt Ай бұрын
@SingerSaraneth we will have to agree to disagree. For instance, I cant even draw a circle. No amount of practice will change that. I can write lyrics, essays, short stories, and I could probably even write a novel if I really focused and gave it my full attention. I agree that practice and writing daily definitely improves your abilities, but you can't polish a turd. For writers and potential writers (when young I mean), writing just comes naturally to them. It's the same with mathematicians and musicians.. those things come easier for them than for the rest of us. Not everyone can become a physicist, a medical doctor, a biologist, or a writer, no matter how hard they try. But it's doubtful that anyone who isn't insanely interested in something would be those things anyways.
@SingerSaraneth
@SingerSaraneth Ай бұрын
@@JoshuaTraffanstedt you're not only wrong, you're terribly wrong. Just because you picked one creative outlet over the other and grew into it doesn't mean, if you pick up a pen and don't put it down for 13 years, you wouldn't be able to draw a shape. Don't limit yourself, and certainly don't limit others because you limit yourself.
@JoshuaTraffanstedt
@JoshuaTraffanstedt Ай бұрын
@@SingerSaraneth no matter the practice, there's certain things people can't do. That's just the facts of life. Being practical isn't limiting yourself. I know there are limits to what every single person on earth can do. We're all different and we're all very good or even great at something. That's how society works. We're all good at something and you're paid based on the services you and/or your job offer to someone else. If you don't believe that, choose something you're terrible at, document it on KZfaq and see how much better you get at it in a years time. If it's something you're terrible at, my guess is you won't be getting much better at it.

Watching in sept 2022 and no one even talks about covid any more, what a weird weird time that was and it is like it never happened which is even weirder. STILL Pete and Bas are still turning out absolute bangers so the world is good.

I personally believe they are truly inspiring because we usually tend to conform to things and just accept as it instead of fighting for what we want and love, specially when at an older age we shouldn't settle just because of the age but instead keep going. When you show confidence in what you doing people immediately will come to like it as well

I love these two. Because they rap about real shit sometimes and have an arsenal of topics to rap about because of real life experience. Their flows are dope asf and they definitely keep up with younger rappers. I hope they continue to rap for the foreseeable future. Their grandkids are lucky asf to have bomb ass grandfathers.
