Peter was a masterful storyteller. That was how he was in life, not just in front of a large audience. Anyone wanting to know the components of how to tell an interesting, and humorous story could learn a lot by listening to him.

why would you not be a fan of interviews? have you NO CURIOSITY...about people? do you just believe movies are real? if you date...do you never ask the other person a question? have you never talked to your parents? how about friends? did you go through school never asking a question? have you never looked into the night sky and questioned it? how about nature...have you zero interest in learning about anything? do you spend all day looking into the mirror? thanks for sharing how well rounded you are as a person.....the world needs more like you...

BTW pretty much the ONLY interviews that DO interest me are found right here, on TWC! Most current interviews are done with people that have some small notoriety & are usually no talent nothing's, in my humble opinion, of course, THOSE do NOT interest me nor do they pique my curiosity. I guess that I should've made that abundantly clear!

The people doing the interviewing are usually ill-prepared (Larry King was notorious for this) and the people being interviewed have little of value to say. It doesn't seem to matter who they are: politicians, artists, directors, writers, actors. They all bore me. I used to like to listen to Gore Vidal but he got old and died. But he was a witty interviewee. Bogdanovich is still good but he's fading. I liked Dick Cavett's interview of Katherine Hepburn. But that was almost 50 years ago. There's no one really fascinating around now. Our culture is poor and bland and grey. And young kids are fed shit like Marvel Universe movies, so unreal; video games as cinema. Their brain cells atrophy watching the screen. How could such a culture produce anyone interesting? As crazy as he was, J.D. Salinger was probably right in turning his back on the whole thing and never giving an interview.

There are other videos on KZfaq where he talks extensively about Paper Moon. That's my favorite of his movies. It's perfect from the first shot to the last.
