Peter Falk had a fantastic career. I love Columbo. About twice a year I do a Columbo marathon. One episode after another.

Don't know where you're from but in England they show a Columbo marathon every Sunday from 10/10.30 am till about 9pm ,in fact I'm watching it now as I type this

Crazy to think he was dead less than 12 months later & had gone through all the stages of dementia so quickly. What a wonderfully talented and warm man.

@@sttumpy5372 Correct, I'm misremembering when he was spotted outside and confused in LA. Per Wikipedia "Dr. Stephen Read, reported he had rapidly slipped into dementia after a series of dental operations in 2007.[63]". By 2008 he didn't know who Columbo was.

He was the absolutely best detectives in the whole wide filmworld no doubts about that a lovely man with close to a laugh and cold as Ice when necessary in that role anyway Peter Falk was addorable and very good and funny man

I have the whole Columbo collection. My absolute favourite crime series ever. Peter was made for the role. Noboby else could do it like him. i liked the streets of san francisco with michael douglas but columbo was the greatest. stevie in Scotland.

A lot of the early Columbo episodes were actually quite clever,and you couldn’t imagine anyone else playing the part other than Pater Falk,always re visit them from time to time

Unfortunately he died exactly the same day month and year as my father died so I didn’t realise he had died. RIP Peter ‘columbo’ Falk. My dad would have liked the fact that Peter had died the same day as he had! Xx

Wow within two years he didn’t know what day it was. His last appearance was very early 2008. 6 months after that he didn’t know who columbo was.
