Happy 80th Birthday to my dear friend ‪@ringostarr‬. Many moons ago, we met in 1969 on the Doris Troy recording sessions. I can’t thank you enough for all the times we’ve played, hung together and for being there for me over the last ? years. Lifelong friends are few and far between. I am so lucky to have you as one of mine. Wishing you more, ‘Peace and Love’ than ever before. Your other guitar player, Pete!

I think, Ringo Starr is loved by millions of people. And PF is he gorgeous, what a smashing song too! I've just been playing a book ofBeatles songs on the piano, 'when I'm 64,' they are so timeless. And during lockdown they bring me such joy, . What a wonderful tribute. Love Love Love....Every day alive is good day!

@@ebarteldes Highly debatable whether Ringo had any input at all to the song. Here's a clue though: Ringo has never written anything before or since, near that quality. What we do know for sure is that it was a very kind gesture of George's to give Ringo the credit.

I think "underrated" is true to a point in the Rock world by "experts" and "critics". This is because his music is not heavy or aggressive but rather "Popish" and "mild". But of course not underrated by other artists, as George Harrison himself invited him to play lead in his recordings, and many other artists.

Damn you are an AWESOME underrated guitarist. I was 13 when Frampton Comes Alive came out. Played it endlessly in the summer of '76. Rediscovered you and your music this year, 2020 at 57. I again have played Frampton Comes Alive endlessly this year so far. I pray that whatever GOD has in stored for you that you will always have that smile and kind heart.

What an outstanding cover from Peter. 👏🏻 Peter’s time with Ringo’s All Star Band was fantastic. Jack Bruce on bass, along with Gary Brooker and Simon Kirke on drums was a smoking band. I remember Peter playing on the song “A Dose of Rock and Roll,” it was such a great tune. I’ve met Peter on several occasions and can say with certainty he is a great guy.
