Tim Foust is a true BASSO PROFUNDO. He is one of a select few basses in the WORLD whose range encompasses reaching a full octave LOWER than the standard bass range. Tim has a 5+ octave range. He’s an EXCEPTIONAL singer!

Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan (formerly of Pentatonix) have a collaboration: ‘Black Is the Color of My True Love’s Hair”. In it, Avi hits VERY low notes. He’s been training to be basso PROFUNDO...and his coach? None other than...TIM FOUST. Just like the premier, top notch sopranos (like Mariah Carey and Morrissette Amon) can sing in the ‘whistle’ register, basso PROFUNDO are adept at the ‘growl’ register!

Really showcases Tim's range. First time I heard MayDay I just thought wow. But the first time I heard this song, I thought the same thing. Peter and Tim are great together.

Any time you think you know all about what Tim can do with his voice, he does something even more outstanding! He is such an impressive, skilled singer, he,outshines with a new skill to shock you. I can’t think of another group of singers who each member is outstanding with their capabilities and skills. No their arranging, writing, beat boxing, etc. skills just continue to get perfected even more than you think are possible. They shock you every time you listen to something new. They never leave you disappointed. God bless you all!

Love your reactions!! You''ll love "How Great Thou Art" , "Helplessly Hoping" and any Home Free songs..not only are they great voices, they are amazing entertainers. They do European tours as well as the states and I've seen about 5 shows..I'd go everyday if I could. So much fun and they sound as amazing live.

Bow down to these two! Tim's bass and baritone notes are fucking God worthy. He's broken speakers and the ground fucking shakes when he hits those notes. The camera was even shaking when he hit that last note! It's insane!!

Great reaction, as usual. This is one of my all time favorites so I really like that you did it. As many times as I have listened to it I still have trouble believing this is just two voices thanks to Peter's genius. Peter and Tim doing "Sound of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Greensleeves" are all great. Or absolutely anything by Peter.

To give you a little context, this song is sung in The Hobbit by a company of Dwarves. Very low-voiced, sort of a going-off-to-take-our-country-back song. Thanks so much for reacting to this! I was waiting to see your reaction to Tim's last note, and you did not disappoint! Putting in another plug for Kevin Olusola's cover of Down by Marian Hill. He's the beatboxer in Pentatonix, and this number showcases just how much of a musical genius Kevin is.

This song always tends to mesmerize me. When Tim hit that massive low note at the end, the look on your face was priceless! It was the same look I had the first time I heard it. I have to add something. I just got home from seeing Home Free in concert. Really killer show and if you think this is a powerful example of Tim's bass I have to tell you that it doesn't even come close. I expected to feel that bass through my body but he actually made my hair and my clothing vibrate. Unbelievable. No human should be able to do what he does!

I don't even think that that final note is on a scale!!! Love it....but my favorite song with Peter and Tim is "Bridge Over Troubled Water," Tim doesn't do any vocal acrobats in it but you'll love it all the same, I'm sure.

Yay! I recommended this a few videos back (and have been binging your videos since!) It's such a great display of Tim's voice! I've seen them perform in concert twice- and they are JUST AS GOOD if not better in person. Tim rocks the chairs in the theater with his bass... It's amazing. For future videos, I would recommend Home Free's "Mayday" and "In The Blood". SO GOOD. Also, their "Seven Bridges Road" and "My Church" are both great, and since I know you said you enjoy your hymns/Christmas music, "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "O Holy Night" are absolutely angelic.

Have you seen The Hound + The Fox feat. Tim Foust doing 'We Three Kings'? That's a fav of mine. And they also do a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt (its closer to the Johnny Cash cover) feat. Chance, and he also sings with them on The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire). Both members of The Hound + The Fox were part of fifgen, the production company that filmed many of Home Free's early videos (2015-2018).

lol.. Told you that last note was intense right down to setting the camera to vibrating :). Now, go watch Tim sing in his higher range in "Mayday"!! (and listen to Chance take over the bass part) They are all so talented. You also may want to check "Thinking Out Loud/Lets get it on" and listen to the sound Tim makes right at the beginning.

I'm a bass lover. I love anything bass - guitar, voice, or instrument, so that last note blows me away every time!! However, I'd just like to point out... how about Peter's high note at around 4:25!! That is as awesome to me as Tim's last low note! Wow!! Peter has got some mad skills!! This video is as incredible the 50th time I've watched it as the 1st time! 😉 Thx so much!

As much as I admire Home Free, Peter is right up there with them. Give Boy Band Parody with Paint a try... It will have you laughing your butt off! Or the gaming music I think I suggested elsewhere... Another suggestion is VoicePlay and their skit from The Sing Off Tour called Road Trip. Another one that will have you rolling around on the floor. Thank you, I always get a kick at everyone's expression with that end note. ^_^

React to Home Free Guilty Pleasures. Very funny!! There is also a video with Tim, Avi, and someone I don't know having a bass sing off. One has their low and high notes another one has just the low notes. I won't spoil who wins! Also Morgan James from Past Modern Jukebox singing Aerosmith Dream On also one of All About That Bass. This group takes modern songs and does them as 30, 40's , 1950's. There is also a Morgan James video of her singing with a band that wears balloons and Speedos. Pretty kooky!

A few of my absolute favourite videos from him are: I See Fire (from the Hobbit movie) Hellfire (from The Hunchback of Notre Dame) Be Prepared (from The Lion King.
