Aye Hogg was definitely responsible for O'Mahony going in late on his standing leg that led to him being out for the entire six nations, it was all started by Hogg wasn't it.

Two of those definitely weren't O'Mahony's fault but you can tell he has such a reputation by just how quickly other teams will pull him away once they see him flaring up. His temper is unmatched.

I'm English, O'Mahony isn't a thug, he just walks a thin line between nasty and brilliant which means anyone biased will come down on one side or the other. I think he's either nastily brilliant or brilliantly nasty.

As an Irish fan I respect O'Mahony though i will concede there have been tense moments. It's also disappointing to see so many Irish fans making biased conclusions on Andrew when they haven't seen his other videos in this series which cover various players in the north and south hemisphere.

To clarify, I’m a huge fan of Peter O’Mahony and I think he’s a tremendous player, I don’t think anyone else in World Rugby really plays quite like him at 6. I made this vid as it was requested to me by a subscriber, just like 95% of my other videos are requests from subscribers. If you don’t think Peter O’Mahony is a thug, then fair enough, that’s your prerogative. What I will say is if you look at the likes of Twitter and search O’Mahony’s name the tweets will often reference his willingness to start fights, he may well be protecting players but a lot of these instances are started unilaterally while other Irish players don’t seem to be as involved in conflicts anywhere near as often as him, there was enough content out there to make such a video, more so than most I’ve done, and I’d like to further add that being a thug isn’t necessarily a negative thing, in rugby quite often your team needs a thug, shithousery is always an interesting part of the game.

Nicely said Andrew. As an Irish fan I have had a major problem with POM for many years. Fanatic enthusiasm is one thing - thuggery is something else completely. For such an immense talent he continually let's Ireland and Munster down with his shenanigans. And you deserve a medal for editing down what must have been a bottomless well of footage into one short (and appropriately titled video). Although "shit stirrer" is probably more accurate than "thug".

In the whole video there's two clips that could even be a penalty, the late shot on Hogg and and pulling of the Connacht players jersey. The late shot on Hogg is at most a yellow card, if thats the only things a player has done that would qualify him as a thug in a long career, he's certainly cleaner than the majority of rugby players.

O’Mahony is the antidote to a McCaw. Yes he’s always ready to fight; but sometimes that’s needed to let the opposition know they can’t bend the rules too far. The skill of a hothead 6 is in not pushing it too far either. Unfortunately, Peter has been on the wrong side of that a few to many times.

He's still at it with his cheap shot against Francis. At least justice was done on that occasion. The tackle on Hogg was another cheap shot that the TMO and ref somehow missed. Ireland scored a try from that and Hogg was out for the rest of the championship. Aye, he's definitely a class act.
