The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy as well as a high school setting. However, it also tends to blend material from all eras of the comic's run-up to that point in addition to other sources such as the Ultimate Spider-Man comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, as well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series.

I've always loved how this version of Venom is one Peter can't hope to beat in a straight up fight it makes sense. That suit not only has his powers and abilities but also in essence knows how he fights.

So where are all of these supposedly many versions of venom where Spider-Man is stronger? Cus I just named most of the well known versions, which proves that statement wrong

Had the series continued they probably would've introduced Cletus Kasady, since Eddie is seen being carried away on a stretcher to a mental facility at the end

0:27 Not only did Peter throw him so hard he needed to send multiple webs to catch himself, but he also tore through the pavement to slow down. One of the few times we get to see examples of Peter not holding back as much

@@davidm4566 that’s a lie, every iteration he beats Peter in brute strength. It’s a fact that Peter can’t hold back against some of his villains that outclass him In stats the whole “Spider-Man pulls his punches so he won’t kill” applies to his weaker villains

@@aperson3723 When Doc Ock took over Pete's body in Superior Spider-Man, he took Scorpion's jaw off in one punch because he didn't realize how much Pete held back when they fought. And Scorpion was a meta-human. Where did Eddie get the superpowers in Venom? They were copied over from Peter.

@@davidm4566 Spiderman has A LOT of villains scorpion isn't one of his strongest at all not even close that example only shows that peter does hold back against SOME of his villains but there's a list of villains that he doesn't hold back against and can't one shot: Goblin, Venom, Lizard, Rhino, Carnage, Morlun, Mr negative(mr negative who's known to tank spidermans full barrage of punches and kicks and being unfazed being dropped from several stories high) Spiderman can one shot his weaker villains like Doc Oc or Black Cat if he doesn't hold back but he knows not to hold back against certain ones otherwise he could really die.

Well if he did Peter could have just covered his face with his webs doing a Web's Mask so it would probably won't have affected the events. But on the way it happened the animators can keep using the same Spiderman model.

@@silverbreaker9271 Well, curiously, in Spiderman the Animated series, during a battle against Venom, after unsmaked Spidey in the roof of a building, Venom throw his mask to the streets, leaving Peter without his mask. And to avoid that the cameramen could records his unmasked face, Peter tore off a piece of a white flag in a balcony, and uses it to cover his mouth to protect his identity during this part. Meanwhile, a pedestrian was using his Spiderman mask and acting like if he was Spiderman XD.

Kinda like young justice. The new seasons are not bad but 4 is especially forced with the wokeness. Still, not bad. Just the first 2 seasons especially season 1 was better. But 3 was kinda miles better than 4, just with a cast I cared less about. Objectively it was better though. In some ways at least.

I think there are two main reasons they didn't put Carnage in The Spectacular Spider-Man one is because the series ended too quickly and two is because Carnage is simply just too violent for a kids show like this but I think if they did put Carnage in The Spectacular Spider-Man they would probably make him a lot more comedic than threatening

The 90’s animated version is so much more dark and mature then what I’m seeing here, keep in mind that’s on my to watch list still, but the tone is totally different, the 90’s one pushes the boundaries with being a kids show constantly, anyone who loves this show needs to check out the 90’s one, I’m still going to give this series a chance

Disney would throw in "the message" to appeal to "modern audiences." Meanwhile, the modern audience won't watch the show anyway. Look at what was revealed about X-Men '97. Morph is "non binary" (whatever that is). People will watch it, but if the main focus is "the message," then I can imagine more people will be canceling their Disney+ subscriptions.

Definitely a KIDS show. No punches thrown. If there is a punch, it never made contact😂 I like it. Fly through a wall. Cars and buildings can fall on them. Maybe there's a kick but it's always a flipping kick, never spin kick or standing front kick.
