Before I sent the DDJ-1000 back to Pioneer DJ, I made some time to finally break down the Peter Piper Routine, popularized by DJ Jazzy Jeff. Be sure to purchase the song, "Peter Piper", by Run DMC to try this routine out!
Check out my first video doing the Peter Piper Routine on my entry level controller, the DDJ-SB2:

How you like the felling of scratching on that controller? Would you consider spinning platter would be more interesting.
@priyonjoni
@priyonjoni 5 жыл бұрын
ls4life DLS when I started I use turntables. I personally didn’t like the feel of early spinning platters on CD decks (Numark V7, Denons, ect). I got into CDJs because it was the first deck that allowed me to scratch my own music. I’ve gotten used to it over the years and even learned how to scratch an even smaller stationary jog wheels on the little controllers. I don’t really care if people don’t view it as interesting. I have found stationary job wheels are more stable, less maintainable, and lighter to carry around; so if I can get past the “doesn’t feel like vinyl” and be able to do my scratches, it’s a win on my end. Not to mention, I can do way more with the extra controllers that I can’t do on DVS; like having an active CUE and PLAY button, an expansive tempo range, and absolutely zero wow and flutter.

i know this came out years ago but your prob the only person able to do a comparison on the ddj 1000 and the ddj rev 7 for scratching i know the rev7 will win but overall workflow im stil leaning towards this as this has been the layout ive been most use to im so stuck on which one will be best overall .. ive also listened to mixes from youself and other djs using both controllers and i could be being extra picky but the mixes done on the 1000 seemed to flow abit more convincing and sounded a little better to me

Him these can be looked up by googling the back of each unit. XLR outputs are male, and require a wire with a female connection on the output end, and a male connection to the input (your speaker). All XLR cables are female on one end and male on the other. If one side doesn’t work, then you reverse your cables. It’s just like how it is when plugging a microphone.

Hopefully you at least mastered the digital alarm clock. Stop being so negative and try something new. Hell ya may find out you like something else or maybe there is more to it then you thought. "Button" DJ's reading this - let all these negative nellys know we are done with their real vs fake crap - its 2018 folks. Real DJs Spin Vinyl - you still watiching VHS or do you stream? All my old movie buddies say VHS is real and netflix is fake. You agree????
