Peter Thiel is one of the most considered, intelligent, and successful minds we have in this generation of Silicon Valley. Peter is a serial company founder (PayPal, Palantir), billionaire investor (first outside investor in Facebook and 100+ others), and author of "Zero to One." Peter’s first startup was PayPal, which he co-founded in 1998 and led to a $1.5 billion acquisition by eBay in 2002. He is now the Managing Partner at Founder’s Fund, a venture capital fund with $2 billion in assets. If you follow and act contrary to the populist trends, regardless of the objective benefits of such a course of action, just to be contrarian, you are asking for trouble.

This recession is most likely the result of an external factor. For the first time in decades, the United States is losing its clout as a federal reserve currency. They don't have any more economies to use to control inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than in the past. They all lend support to the idea that a new multilateral world order is in the works

Although it'll be a global recession, which is characterized by a decline in annual global per capital income, is relatively uncommon due to the faster growth rates of emerging markets like China, in comparison to developed economies. I have pulled out more than $340k from my bank. After all, the FDIC covers only up to $250,000, and the implosion could have bad effect. Looking to invest into the crypto and stock market now. wondering how I could go about it?

Honestly, don't think it was too outrageous. My wife told me about an article she read of a gentleman working on AI who supposedly stated he didn't think humans were anything special and that the planet would be better off without us. Regardless of whether or not you believe that is true, the implication behind that is if he is successful with strong AI, it would almost undoubtedly be a different form than say Asimov's version of three laws protecting human life.

Just the other day I was listening to an Elon Musk interview and got bored. I may just stop consuming any nonfiction and news for the next five years so things can be exciting and new again when I start back into it.

Great episode! You were right, many notes to take. I'm a new fan but I'm catching up quickly. Why the skepticism from Florida? I would agree with Peters absolute rule concept. This was an amazing podcast. His views on the pot industry and how he explained the business aspects of something underground vs adopted wasn't something I gave thought to and a good example that applies to a lot of things. It is a very different way of thinking.

With a minimum wage and an affordable housing initiative. Some zoning laws can be useful, maybe not all - and if they are proven to be bad for everyone else except developers and landlords - then sure, change them and make those exact arguments about how and why with evidence for those exact regulations. Not hur dur all zoning regulations are bad. F'n tech bros, actually go back to the south bay. And yes I understand the south bay is a either wasteland ghetto or suburbs filled with yuppies.
