I decided it was time to go see Bryn again, so naturally I made a point to get a video of him on the job while I was there. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Bryn works for BDI :P Thanks to the awesome driver (and of course Bryn) for helping me make this video happen.

Cool to see another one of the KZfaq crew on the job and in action! I wonder if any of the earlier video posters up there haven't had some kind of gig on the garbage trucks yet, we're all grown up now! I like these 5000 packers, maybe I like the fact the slide guides aren't your normal straight and the thing moves out as it lowers. Bummer there was no revving during the cycles, but still got to hear the engine during the drives. Was this actual manual trash collection or more of a bulk/extras service? Heard that bloke talking at 3:25, obviously he hasn't seen the extent of things online! Bravo to Bryn for doing the job with enthusiasm... not that I'm sure he'd go slow knowing he'll have an audience :P

The 5000 is a favorite of mine for a couple reasons, one being what you mentioned about the packer motion. This contract came with a take-all requirement, and Bryns job was to go around and collect the extra junk that was set out beside the automated carts. I applaud Bryn for having a good attitude too after seeing some of the disgusting stuff people set at the curb for him to pick up.. haha

Haha so cool to see Bryn on the job. I thought he was working at a company down in Portland, didn't know he's at BDI now. How long has he been there? Really like the fast pace Bryn was working at. So his route is composed entirely of bulk/greens stops? Awesome vid Mike!

mr mack truck is greatest work for trash service and peterbilt 320 very good trash service but mack truck is a work truck beast and i love peterbilt my first 💘 n second kenworth but I'm in love with that Beast truck name Mack's God and Jesus bless America and bless the truck drivers in America Peterbilt rule
