This reminds me so much of when i was a little little kid and my dad would take me for work in his semi all day, hauling gravel, he had a western star, sounded EXACTLY like this, i always got to turn the jake on.... Aghhh I'm tearing up here... This makes me so happy..and that turbo spooling up and down....this brings back memories

ah i love this video brings back flashbacks of when i was younger me riding with my grandpa at his new job he drove a petebilt 379 with a cummins turbo diesel engine sounded just like this loud jake brake to but i still remember waking up every morning when i was with him for a month at 3 am everymorning heading to the truck and by the end of the 10 hour shift my hands were tired of shifting,he always let me shift fulltime as a kid and id have a headace from the screaming turbo

Apparently it's a 3406E. But I agree with speed150mph, it sounds just like the old 444 Cummins with a big load on! Have never heard anything tougher soundin' than that..

well all of you haters i drive a 379x with a c-15 cranked up to a 650hp with a Pittsburgh power adder set at 250hp i am pushing 900hp to the tires and i run 8"straight pipes no mufflers or resonator's. you want to see her bello like a stuck pig my wife says she can hear me 8 miles from the home stead and thats runing 2200r.p.m. boys twin stick 18 on both sticks try shifting that

local scrap hauler here (the purple truck in one of my vids) just barks when he gears up (tell its a E block) then yep pull up beside him when hes set on cruise and I thought they did a motor swap to a older cat or cummins :D

When he lets it out it's obviously gonna start moving so... if the car doesnt go why would he let it out? If the truck doesnt have a clutch brake he'll be pushing it in when the light changes and waiting for the gears to stop to put it in gear.
