I was at school with lead guitarist Fritz and bassist Mike, one minute they where at St Peters school Blackburn and the next year they where top of the pops, I saw them on several occasions and they were great live, they deserved more success than they achieved.

These guys were a very underrated group. Great harmonies! Interestingly, they were the only British group in 1964 to have a #1 single in the UK (Juliet) and not to chart in the U.S.

A real Treat. Tks. So Young - "lookit" these Guys. Fine Harmonies. Very "Mainstream"- sounding. The Stones & The Beatles were cutting new ground, at the same time. So, tastes were moving-away from the "Herman's Hermits" gang. Sweet/Soft turned Psychedelic - Remember?

Got the album of the 4 pennies it's awesome CD the last song on the album. Be for they split up was fantastic my favourite song

The line up seems to have changed over time but included Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman. I can't tell if they are here as they are all so young.

Eric Stewart and Graham Goldman have never been in a Pennies line up, David Graham replaced lead guitarist Fritz for a while, who later returned to the group
