As they would be at home on their ass complaining. Hispanics make up majority of the population in many areas in California and almost in the entire state. Yet, when it comes to government hand out they make up the least percentage. With whites at the top of that list. Really have to think about that, as according to many there are many illegals in California with American citizen children. Yet they rather work and struggle selling a rose or taking three jobs from someone else 😊. Really it’s the Mexican Americans who ask for more ✋ outs as they are used to the American way. When I started college in 2003 was not near as much Hispanics and definitely not that graduation rate. Things are changing for the better. Same is true in many states with lower Hispanic population rate. It’s moving towards a positive direction. Not sure what you meant by preferring to remain Chicano and the negative connotation behind that. However, that was more a movement of the 70s. Most young kids don’t even know what that is. What hasn’t changed, is that someone of Mexican heritage has always been proud of who they are.
