I wish more character "specialists" - made informative content like this. T7 is my first entry in to this series and it's a daunting game to tackle for newcomers. Thanks for sharing the wealth of tips and info in this series so far. Has made picking up Mr. Fury and broader concepts in the game alot easier to digest and execute. Keep it up.

Hey Peter I want to thank you for all of this tutorials which are very easy to understand and easily applicable too. Just got into Tekken 7 1 week ago following the hype for 8 and immediately fell in love with Bryan moves and without your guides I wouldn't even know where to start so thanks again for the work that you did 😤

I love how informative the video is since I'm fairly new to Bryan and Tekken 7 and how easy you made following the combos and the commands to them on screen. A lot of other creators make it hard to follow but you move at a very good pace and did a good job explaining everything that's important in depth. I thank you for this you're a saint. 🙏

Great videos Mao! You've further inspired me to play Bryan as my second. One thing I've noticed is that Combo 3 is much better with b+2,1,2 as finisher then 3,3,4. Two reasons. First, you do slightly more damage, and second, that makes huge difference, is that you can get far better and easier wall carry. Because after 3,3,4 Bryan recovers slower then from b+2,1,2, and wall hit is cleaner and easier for wall combos. I can easily do running into wall combo: d/f+2,1 d/b+1+2, while with 3,3,4 I don't have a chance. One more thing, I know it is beginner combos, but you should have mentioned d/f+2,1 into d/b+1+2 as wall combo and b+3~f+1+2. Great damage, and often more reliable then b+3~f+3,3,4 (with 4 delayed).

Yeah Mo Thug. Don't feel like you have to take it in all in one go. Implementing all the tools take time. Sometimes the best way to digest the information is little by little. Maybe one day try to focus on using 1 particular move here, and then another day try to implement another move there. Over time, you'll get the whole arsenal of moves down.

I didn't forget, as I don't think beginners need to quite deal with that yet. I intentionally did not include it. The move combo at the wall (u/f+3 -> d/b+1+2) is specifically for better oki, and personally (just my opinion again) is not needed for beginners.

Do you have tips on trying to memorize all the combos and maybe advise on when to use certain combos?
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jesse. I’ve broken the combos down into different starters and from which starters the different combos. All in all there are only 5 different combos you need to remember and for the most part they are fairly similar. I would suggest learning the different combo starters and what combos are used for each starter. This will help simplify the process.

Hey PeterMao, Nice video, it showd up for a guide for brayen on xbox. But i dont know what b+3~f means for example Mabye this had to to with my understanding because i only played Tekken 3 and tag tournament 2 in my younger years on ps1 and xbox one later. I dont want to hate or so. i still like the video and the fact you take the time to explain everything in detail. Anyway is this video also for xbox one/pc or? Have a good day after all! Kind regards David😁
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 2 жыл бұрын
b+3~f means press back and "A" (on xbox) and then the ~ means immediately so in this case it's immediately press forward after the back and A. 1 = X 2 = Y 3 = A 4 = B

I am back to tekken after a long time and if i remember correctly gatling gun used to be the staple wall ender.. was it nerfed in tekken 7 and deals less damage or just because this is a beginner guide you didnt mention.. by the way i am looking forward to advanced highest damage combo video of yours for bryan :D
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 4 жыл бұрын
I can not speak for it in games before Tekken 7, but at least for Tekken 7 it does less damage than double knees and it provides worse Oki than d/b+1+2. And yeah definitely will be doing more advanced combos.

Great video Peter! What will happen if I dont realign Bryan after ss1 or ch f3? Does it just mean the opponent will be pushed to different direction? I normally dont do it as it is a bit tricky.
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 2 жыл бұрын
You should always realign with those attacks because they can hit off axis and if you don't get used to realigning there will be times you will miss your combos. If your opponent sidesteps presses a button and gets counter hit then it is even more crucial to realign because you will not be able to get your standard combo otherwise.

@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 4 жыл бұрын
There's not much of a trick. You need to dash in very quickly and land the b+3~f+2,1. Dash in quickly after 4,3,4 and dash in deep to hit the b+3~f+2,1. Try delaying the 2 into 1 slightly.

Snake edge becomes a liability the better the opponent you play. At the top levels, it's a completely useless move because of how slow it is.

Question: Every time you use f+1 in a combo, is it a micro step? because the move looks the same as just 1 for me, and the combo still works.
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 4 жыл бұрын
I think the f+1 is more a legacy thing from older Tekken games. In T7 people swear it adds a tiny tiny distance, but in 99.99% of time without the f input is fine. However... you should get into the habit of doing f+1. For example after a SS Bryan can not immediately press 1 but he can press f+1 to get a jab. And there are other instances of its use as well. Hope that helps

As soon as you hit the b+3 press forward. Like immediately! After the forward you can either press f+2,1 quickly or you can wait a little bit. The f+2,1 timing is a bit flexible. You can either delay it a bit or do it immediately. Hope that helped you out Honey Paradise.

In that situation no. U/f+3 into d/b+1+2 is only used for high wall splat situations. See my Bryan wall combos to fully understand further if you feel you are at that level to start using more of Bryan wall combo stuff.

Do you have to use f1 after d/b2? Im able to use 1 and has the same effect
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 5 жыл бұрын
Yes and no... (YES) I have just gotten into the habit of doing f+1, and trying to instill f+1 to beginners as this is important for canceling Bryan's crouch dash (CD) into standing jab. As a matter of fact, as far as I know b+3~f~u~f+1 is the only way to cancel Bryan's CD into standing jab. (NO) I think if it mostly as a legacy thing. Back in the older Tekkens people were noticing that there was an ever so slight difference that f+1 covered that 1 did not. As for Tekken 7 I have not done that comparison myself. TLDR... You can probably just use 1 after d/b+2, but you will need f+1 in certain situations to cancel Bryan's CD into standing jab.

You will have to just get the timing down for the delayed knees. There is no "trick" to it. Just have to get the timing down.

@@PeterYMao ok maybe if I rephrase my comment. For example when taunting and hitting back 4 you'd hit 4 right when your taunt makes contact. So im wondering if there maybe a certain frame or body position i should look for when i press 4 for the second knee

Just a quick question, with B+3-B-F i keep messing up after (FF)* - B+3 - B - F is there away to buffer? Cant seem to get B+3 all the time or i keep wiffing the B+3
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 5 жыл бұрын
If you keep whiffing the b+3 that means you are not running deep enough. There is a way to buffer b+3, but not in the way you are thinking. You can not buffer b+3 during the middle of a run / dash.
@PeterYMao
@PeterYMao 5 жыл бұрын
Try not to cut your f,f dash short. Since you are whiffing the b+3 then try to let the full dash animation play through before pressing b+3. If the b+3 whiffs because the opponent has dropped too low and fallen to the ground and your foot hits above where their body is, then try to cut your f,f animation slightly shorter. Once you get it, it will click and just a matter of repetition.

Josie has: -worse wall bounce move than Bryan because it is out of a string and doesn't hit mid -low combo damage on infinite stages -no safe normal hitting launchers where has Bryan has Jet Upper, Orbital Heel, and SS+1 so she requires some commitment to deal big damage aside from counter hits -she doesn't have an unblockable taunt which Bryan does have -does not have a 14 frame launcher where as Bryan does, so she can't punish the same things he can -and she doesn't play keep out as well as Bryan does with his orbital heel and 3+4 Hope that helps :)

What I mean is that after doing Mach Kick (f,F+4), Northern Cross (fc+d/f+4) or 2nd hit of Sway Smash (qcb+2,4) on CH you are not able to get a 2nd screw. Since the first hit is the screw, you lose the ability to screw since your first hit was the screw.
