Hard to believe this was recorded ten years ago (I'm in October 2021). Andrea is only a kid and she is so accomplished. Europe and the world owe a great deal to Joan Chamorro's jazz school in Barcelona. He gave us back jazz, swing, melody, romance.

Que linda interpretación con el saxo. Me fascinó, esta preciosa melodía. "Petite Fleur" (Pequeña Flor) de Sidney Bachet de 1919, con el acompañamiento de Joan Chamorro en el bajo y Josep Traver en la guitarra. Gracias Andrea Motis. , por tu talento prodigioso. Just love everything these folk do .. Love the way new talent being developed and can see how that makes the more seasoned talent shine too. Don't see enough of this sax stuff, so this is definitely a treat . Thanks for posting, sharing

Bravo Andréa! Mais uma de suas interpretações perfeitas de um clássico tema, desta vez com o domínio completo do sax soprano. Sua performance foi tão grandiosa que me lembrou o grande clarinetista Benny Goodman e seu sexteto quando em 1968 interpretaram também uma excelente versão de Petite Fleur. Obrigado pelo post.

I've always loved this tune. And this rendition was as good as it gets. . 50+ years ago at a local jazz venue I requested this piece from the Chris Barber band. Before they played it the band leader embarrassed me by announcing that he had had a polite request for it from a young man in the audience. Subscribed.

I have heard Mr. Acker Bilk on his wonderful clarinet playing this beautiful song. I was always impressed by him. This young lady impressed me much too. This is the first time I heard it played on a Soprano Saxophone too. Well done.

That is unbelievable. It sounds just like Bechet in terms of vibrato and dynamics. I always wonder how some players are able to emulate others so accurately. I can only ever get in the"ballpark".

Felicitaciones Andrea! Realmente tocaste con mucha gracia! Se ve que no sólo has escuchado versiones de Sidney Bechet, sino que tambien posiblemente hayas leido sus conceptos... el dijo bien de joven allá por 1919, que el había tomado "my own way".... Y tu se ve que ya lo has hecho... has tomado tu camino en el jazz y bien elegido que está! Sigue adelante! Feliz 2012!!!!
