I really, really appreciate that you include tips for all kinds of body types and body part combinations. I am not short enough to be considered petite, but I am eating up your videos because you always mention all types of bodies. I am a pear-ish hourglass with a long rise and short legs and big breasts and a belly prone to absurd bloat at times, and I just love that you know what to do about all of that. Thank you!

you really deserve 10x more subscribers, so much better content and useful than many that just show off their wardrobe for their type of body and for their type of style. I highly recommend this channel to anyone. This is a channel that shows you how to dress and not just "how to dress like me". It never occurred to me not to tuck my shirts in. I don’t do the full tuck but I always do some variation of a tuck. I’ll have to try not tucking and see how that looks on me! Thanks for the tips!

I love this tip about the shorts! I have avoided shorts I dont like my knees. The monochrome reminds me of some of the rompers I have seen. I like the ones that look like a short dress. My favorite outfit is nude shorts and fitted. And my favorite is monochromatic. The nude shoe with pointed toe is something I love to wear! I love your tricks to make clothing look good they are the best tips I have seen for petites! Thank You so very much!

What about short legs and short waisted with a larger chest. There is a lot going on to deal with!! I definitely always untuck my shirt.

Nude bottoms or monochrome will work for you. I’d say avoid the high rise bottoms, but since you don’t tuck you shirt in, you can wear them.

Sandy, I'm built exactly like you! I Iove paperbag look and can wear them as pants but definitely trickier when it comes to shorts. I have found a nice medium with paperbag skirts!! However, I think we can get away with a longer inseam short with a paperbag waist as long as the fabric is a little more fluid, like a rayon blend or even bamboo. And I take advantage of the crop tops as a petite sized woman because I don't have to worry about tucking in the top--rather, because I'm short waisted, a missy sized top will fall perfectly just past the waist so that I either don't have to tuck or if it's just ling enough, I can do a French tuck. Win win!

I’m confused about measuring vertical body proportion. I know “regular” proportion is when the leg length, from the leg break (crotch) to floor is equal to the length of the torso/upper body. However, some measure the upper body from the leg break to: 1. the top of the shoulder, but 2. some measure to the top of the head. This makes a huge difference: in case 1. my legs are significantly longer than my torso, in case 2. my legs are slightly shorter than my torso. My neck is long for my height, which makes a big difference, too, in method 2. I think my legs look on the longer side, if anything, my torso, especially from waist to shoulder, looks short and tops are always too long there, straps fall down, etc. People tell me I have “perfect proportions” and “long legs”, indeed I was offered a job as a fit model in college, when I was 5’6”, before I lost height through spine disease in middle life. What’s the correct place to measure to, the top of the shoulder or the head?

Hi Kimberly- I use the method 2, from top of the head. Typically if the leg ratio is 48% and up, it is considered aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Calculation only based on numbers sometimes does not paint the full picture though, e.g. someone with a smaller head tends to come across as "taller" than someone with bigger head, even though the ratio is the same.

Glad to know going untucked with shorts can work since that is my go to to be comfortable, it seems when I tuck in my top there is no space between my bust and waist so it doesn't look right. It helps if I wear a really structured bra, but frankly it's hard not to go for softer comfort, especially in this heat! I have been all about stocking up on kimono style tops to wear over shorts outfits too.
