Do you have to be close by or does it talk to the app (meaning you can be out of town or just away) I've got the Petlibro dual feeder w/camera and you can dispense food from away, long as feeder itself is online.

I must have received a dud because initially it worked beautifully, then it stopped flowing. I changed the filters and brushed the water flow channels. Again, it worked for a while then stopped. Repeated changing filters and brushing. It worked again, then stopped. I should say also the water I used is RO (reverse osmosis) water which has all minerals filtered out of it, so calcium build up impeding the impeller does not explain why this fountain is unreliable.
