Inspired by the beautiful sportscars of the 1960s, Anthony Jannarelly has designed the Design 1 to not only be stunning to look at but to give the ultimate visceral driving experience to those lucky enough to get behind the wheel. Powered by a 325 horsepower 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 the carbon fibre constructed Design 1 only weights 850kg which is the perfect recipe for driving enjoyment.

A Car like that or a classic for pure enjoyment on U.K. back roads in the country is such a great fit under blue sky. The roads in this clip remind me why I love coming down to North Yorkshire Moors / Coast from Scotland and touring through the villages by the back roads - and I drive like a nun and it’s still fantastic.

I must admit that I'd never heard of the Jannarelly until I saw your teaser photos leading up to this video. My first reaction was it is another Cobra Daytona coupe replicar like the Superformance. However, your walkarounds cleared up any possibility of confusing this thoroughly modern car with a 1960s replica. The air flow around, through, and under that car is more 21st century race car than many modern race cars are. That exhaust note is epic too. Perfect facial expression to wrap up your thoughts! Awesome vid! Such a beautiful car - looks like what people in the ‘60s would say “what Le Mans cars of the future will look like” and yes £90K sounds like a lot but for such a unique item it’s really very reasonable. My favourite bit though is the bark on the downshifts, if I could afford one I’d be doing that constantly! Keep it up PP and can’t wait to see the next Vintage Voltage!

Love the car, I know Alan well so have had the privilege of driving the car. It’s a little out of my price range right now but agree with your review. The car turns heads like nothing else and is raw, demanding, nothing like modern day motoring. It demands of you from the moment you decide to climb in. Would make the ultimate Sunday drive toy....

Wow. This car is gorgeous. Beautiful lines. At a time when everyone's going for sharp, jagged edges it's such a breath of fresh air to see retro, rounded lines like this. Sounds absolutely amazing too. Also, since I'm really short I imagine myself getting in and out of it rather elegantly (only in my dreams of course).

Retro Futuristic - A contradiction in terms that seems to work. Certainly looks like an engaging drive, sitting right in front of the engine and all the camera shake. Sounds awesome as well.

Hi Pete, I’ve been a follower for about 6 months. Although there is around 20 year’s difference in our age ( you are the young one) we do have similar interests in cars. Maybe the thing that is missing in the Jannarelly , multiple throttle bodies and the sound would awesome. Almost as good as a bank of Weber’s.

Original inspiration was from the both; From Testa Rossa (in two words) and Cobra....But now , it's always difficult to talk about inspiration with Ferrari, so they prefer not to mention it...

Evening Pete, I'm in turmoil with this one 🤯, that engine sounds epic, like angels singing and it goes like a demon. Is it running on throttle bodies? The styling with the roof off isn't too bad but with the roof on I'm not sure 🤔. I can certainly appreciate all of the aero technology on the car but it's almost like, a bit of this car and bit of that car and see what we end up with! I'd love to have seen you show us the engine in more detail. Regardless of how I feel about the looks, it's certainly a beast of a car with true back to basics driving, which is awesome 👌, no crappy electronics to pull you out of trouble if you mess up, that's proper driving. Take care mate 👍👍👍👍🏁 Congrats on Vintage Voltage, I really enjoyed it, and as you know I believe EVs are only for Ernie on his milk round lol. You may make a convert of me yet 👍👍🏁

Normally you see new companies that cut corners everywhere to save costs. Even million pound Koenigsegg's until the brand new Gemera had sub par interiors. This is incredible from every single angle. Absolutely breathtaking. A serious poster car, I adore this thing

Great review of a stunning car. Love your presentling style Mr PP. But one or 2 things caught my attention. First, those big slots in the "bonnet" are outlets from the radiator, not inlets. Second, for all your interesting references to past styling icons, it seems to me the front end of this car is taken almost verbatim from the Scaglietti designed 1957 Ferrari Testarossa with the pontoon fender body. Apart from that, your review was enormous fun and your enthusiasm totally infectious. Love your channel.

It’s ironic test driving this car in the UK on one of the two dry and sunny days of the year. 1) No ABS available. 2). This car is really meant to be driven as a convertible, but if you are out anywhere and it starts raining, you really are screwed, because there is no fabric roof or targa panels you can put up. Right Pedro, I must admit that’s a real drivers car 🚗. As a stunt performer those were the type of cars 🚙 we would bream of racing through the streets in the early hours of the morning. Oh the roads were closed by the police 👮‍♀️ so we could film 🎥. If it weren’t for my disability I would have one of them in a heartbeat 💗. Stay healthy and drive safe 💋

Alan very kindly brought the car to me to test drive. Great car but not perfect. We agreed that the throttle map was too aggressive, the Rose jointed suspension too hard for UK back roads and the traction control too simple - all issues that are getting fixed for UK cars. It was a pleasure to talk to Alan and to drive the car The brakes needed a good hard shove to work too. Still giving thought to paying a deposit! Great review great car

Well, you say it's beautiful, but it's such a mix of Lotus Elise, Ginetta, Caterham, Panoz, classic Ferrari Testarossa, GT40 (front radiator outlets) and, and, and all, that all I can suggest is that function over form has brought everything together in a really great way. And yes I love it, especially the sounds! And ok, I'll hire a van to follow me around with my two mountain bikes in the back. 😁

Looks sounds an awesome car, plus as you said £90k is a lot money but I agree for what your buying it's also a magic price, interestingly I own a 05 year 350z and the engine torque is magic in it but that's in a fairly heavy car as Well, it's a great engine plus it's related to the daddy GTR 🤗 Keep the cracking Videos coming.👍

Awesome, can see the dessingee is a Caterham fan from the engagement factor. And a 60s sports car fan from the design cues. Clever roof but you need agility to get in and out by the looks of it 😉 Good engine choice. The option list can't be as long as Mini but Surprised the LSD diff is an option on a car like that. Great video and a bit different to the electrfied Kaman Gear😁
