They are pricey but I don’t find I need to change the box for about 40 or so days so it’s not too awful in the long run for ease of use. You can also find off brand refillable trays to reuse for it

There are little mats you can buy on Amazon that catch all the crystals! Also worthwhile to check the paws of your cat to make sure the hair in between the pads doesn’t need to be trimmed - that can catch a fair bit of litter

I have a video showing how you change it! Lift up the top, take out the bottom and put the top back on and then toss in the garbage! It’s very easy

How did you acclimate her to the new litter box? Did you set it up exactly where your old one was (bonus points if you can put the old one next to it for now) and transfer some of her old used litter over slowly to the new box so she associates the smell better. Cats are resistant to change -- they don't even like changing the LITTER let alone the whole box without kicking up a fuss

How many cats do you have? I have one cat and I don’t smell anything for near a month. If only one cat and still has a really strong urine smell and you haven’t had him/her checked out it can also be a sign of a UTI, Cat Diabetes, or Kidney issue (just in case you didn’t know) but could also just be a cat with extra ammonia’y smelling pee which would be unfortunate. If that’s the case have you tried the litter box baking soda stuff arm and hammer makes? Before I had this I would put that in my regular kitty litter so it didn’t smell

Have you tried moving the old litter into it and not turning it on for the first while? Maybe the noise is too much until they are used to the new box in general?

For 30 day box changes it's designed for 1-2 cats! You would need quite a few if you didn't want to change frequently! Most litter boxes are only 1-2 because cats get mad if there are less haha
