It's kinda hard to find videos analizing petscop without some people trying really hard to decipher (overanalising) everything, I like this. hard to explain Also you sound like Paul

the little tunes i always felt were a really weird part of petscop that were never able to be explored since we know so little about them and how they work. but this was a really good analysis... i never thought about how the tunes being stereoscopic could tie into which direction they're coming from or where they originate. good video as always. your voice sounds great

My SHOCK and TERROR when I heard your voice, guy. I thought Paul himself took over my phone and was gonna breakdown Petscop for me 😢 But these videos are pretty much the next best thing. Seriously, I'm learning a LOT from your analyses, even after I've rewatched the series a bunch of times and taken meticulous notes. So much stuff to dive into. It's an adventure, and hearing other people talk about it, reach out into new ideas, it almost feels like a relaxing kind of therapy.

Thank you for still talks about petscop after all these years! It's a really obscure piece of media that has a special place in my heart, and these analysis videos are always a joy to watch.

in response to 6:40 its actually shown if you brighten the screen in this part that marvin is walking on the top right of the screen for a few seconds, so i think that the source is from marvin instead of toneth.

It's incredibly nice to find a channel doing this kind of analysis with Petscop. I specifically appreciate the section where you go over why not *everything* in Petscop has to have meaning. I personally contend that a big message of Petscop is being able to live with some things unanswered - Paul doesn't "win" by finding every answer, but by accepting his family trauma and simply choosing to be with the friend who's always been there for him. I found you through your rotation theory video, and it's really comforting to see someone analyze the series like this. And they're awesome theories as well! You've got a subscriber and whether you end up doing more videos in this style or not, I hope you keep uploading. Thanks for the video.

i love LOVE not only how eloquently you convey your analyses but how you also touch on elements of the game that are so seldom discussed.. i was wondering for a **long** time as to what purpose the lil tunes could serve. the tune in the epilogue *does* resemble an existing song, albeit a classical one, I’ve noticed you noted this down on the document. kinda unrelated but you mentioning (in the rotation video as well) that the minute details merely serve as foundations in which you construct your interpretation from, was such a breath of fresh air. there’s this sort of culture that permeates media theory circles in which ppl ONLY focus on the tiny details, as well as being concerned with finding the “ONE and only TRUE meaning” of the work. how tf is this paragraph longer than the one that matters wtf

This makes me think about how the ghost rooms have pianos in them. Obviously(?) they can be hooked up to the needles piano, but if these sounds don't necessarily originate in the game, perhaps they can be played otherwise as like, secret codes to control the multiplayer functions? Something like that.

in nexpo’s video, he theorized that the sound before the door opening, and belle/tiara moving separately from paul, might signal the game taking some sort of sentience like the sounds are signals that whatever ai the game possesses is taking control over the save to make these things happen i think a similar thing could be true for most of these tunes as well

a short aside that the unknown notes are 3 descendingly microtonal sharps of D, then G# F C , all vaguely out of tune ((g# is a bit flat. F a bit sharp, C quite flat, almost a B really). Wack and out of tune it may be, it's plausibly Cm "it's timetravel, graverobbing, and necromancy' goes hard

a piano has to be connected for the needles to be played, right ? id never considered before that the connection to a piano may have more significance beyond just using the needles.. like various tunes played have various functions, like how the chalkboard tune if played may have the ability to bring players to u somehow..
