Peugeot 308 SW first generation MK1 (T7) facelift - rear seat belt warning sound going off on empty seats.
Removal the rear seats occupancy sensor - humidity might be the reason of malfunction, try to dry it out and insert again.
SK: Pipanie indikatorov / upozornenia nezapnutych pasov vzadu, aj ked tam nikto nesedi.

THANK YOU THANK YOU! That sound was driving me absolutely insane. I found another video that described the problem but yours was the one that actually showed me how to do it, and made me confident I wasn't going to break anything.

Dear Michal, a big thanks to you!! With your wonderful video today I reconstructed that broken sensor in my 11 years old Peugeot! (By the way: 4 years ago I paid 300€ for a new sensor! I had no idea I could solve the beeping-problem like this and safe a lot of money......thank you for publishing this video!!) greetings from Hamburg.

Super Video das Problem hat mich jetzt schon 4 Monate begleitet, nach langem googlen in Foren bin ich dann auf dieses KZfaq Video gestoßen. Es hat dann wirklich nur 15 Minuten gedauert bis der Sensor ausgebaut war👍

I've been reading about this malfunction and coincide with your opinion. Humidity may affect the sensors that can lead to this annoying alarm. Many many thanks for your help. It works!!!! Hope it doesn't affect the airbag system in case of impact. Cheers from Spain!!

As far as I know it shouldn't impact the airbags. Airbags are supposed to work no matter if the seat belts are fastened or not. As they always recommend to fasten the seat belts that you don't get "punched" only by airbag if you are not fastened.

In a French forum they mention to clean the connector. That solves the problem in most cases. In the netherlands this de-activation is an MOT issue!

Just remove carpet without all this Work, unpluged the sensor and easy put carpet on his place. I do this in 5 sec. And do not remove sensor.

Quick question for everyone, does removing the sensor turn off the airbags, and does that affect safety? Or is it just the sound?

Thanks for sharing this video, I am going crazy because of this constant beeping for no reason... So I understand that I have to remove the backseat to have access to that sensor?

Yep. But this is mostly cause when you have 3 separete rear seats (as I have in video). But it might be the same when you have standard 60:40 rear seats, but I dont know if there is the same sensor, but I guess there might be.

Question; wasn't it enough to just disconnect the plug? I don't want to have to store the sensors away somewhere else if they can stay in place and now trigger the alarm beep. Thanks for the video, btw!

Complete removal of the sensor beam is the solution? Not replace it.... Thanks for the video

Feel free to replace it if you wish - that is of course recommended. However your rear seatbelts will work just fine, just without beeping and you will not see info if seatbelts are inserted or not.

Just disable seat belt chime by Diagbox! This is easier method!

Sure, you can buy a new sensor and insert it back on place if u wish to have a working sensor. Otherwise just use a simple rear seatbelts with no sensor - but still working. Video is called sensor removal 😊✌️
