A legend of Le Mans but I did not remember the sound of the car which is a truck's sound.

IROCMAN666 despite being a V12 it's a diesel so it explains the truck sound.

You've probably heard the newer V8 version. This one sounds like the older V12 version.

I’m just trying to imagine what the initial Peugeot Sport drivers thought about the sound of a tractor engine in a prototype and just the overall experience driving this car must have been.

Didn't all 3 factory 908's and the private Team Oreca 908 all have the exact same failure that year at Le Mans?

1 X Factory 908 had a carbon tub failure and retired about 3 hours into the race. The Oreca one was the last one remaining and failed with conrod fracture. Perfect weather and nothing to slow them down meant they ran at 100% the full race. The Audi r15 tdi + won 1,2, 3 and hold the record for longest race distance ever at Le Mans.

For anyone who says this sounds like a piece of garbage , the engine haven't even peeked over 5000 rpm, and the shift lights didn't even light up. It was obviously a test drive and they didn't push it.

@@johngjfkri I know its a race diesel but 7000rpm is huge for a diesel most only rev to around 5500rpm max.

This car won the 24h of Le Mans in 2009, it is very fast, it looks slow because the one driving it in the video is not really pushing it.
