The announced to cancel emp2 for 308 and Astra and make an electric Platform with to Option to add an hybrid. No gasoline Platform with the Option to add an ev. I Like the current Plattform with the extra space for feet.

They are already into it. In May 2016 they announced CMP (and the refresh of EMP2 allowing for PHEV). CMP, Common Module Platform, is the platform which holds actual 208/2008/DS3/Corsa/Mokka/C4, all B-segment (or pseudo C) in all their variants: petrol, diesel and electric. A month ago the announced eVMP (electric Vehicle Module Platform), a complete rework of EMP2 (that is for C and D segments) that makes it an electric platform that allows 60-100kWh battery packs between wheels (Tesla sandwich style) that still could hold a hybrid drivetrain, but somewhat compatible with some the elements of actual EMP2 (this reduces R&D costs). eVMP models will start in 2023.

@@fields1 I don't agree at all. Bigger compromise could be not having a frunk (I am speculating, it still could be only for units with fossil engine, but look for the images of the eVMP platform, as they have been published by Stellantis, the merger of PSA & FCA). I think for a big manufacturer this a HUGE step and what matters is that it will deliver what we need as customers: cost effective so that we can buy their BEVs because they deliver good quality/performance/cost. This eVMP platform goes for 15-20 models of Stellantis models that actually sell more than 3 million units/year! Think of more half of them being BEV by 2024, and nearly all of them by 2026 if market demands so.

Hi,@@nadinet1224 . We got in October as promised and driven approx. 1500 km. We are loving it so far! Two baby seats in the back and still room for me up front. Keep in mind we're used to compact cars - no american SUVs here. But the design is clever and I don't feel cramped. We 'permanently' removed the boot floor (there are two) for extra room but it's good space for a stroller plus luggage anyway. Maybe a little slim for a holiday-packed car for four, but we'll see when we get there. The ride is excellent, as well as the seats, the ACC, noise level, tyres, looks and general quality feel. Not loving the piano-black interior details though, and miss the memory seats as expected. Fast charged once and that was a breeze - fast and easy. Congrats with your purchase!

Hi. How has the car been for you this year? I'm currently looking at this car as my first EV. Going to have for a good test drive in some days. Think it will be a good contender for us. Family of 3 that stops a lot during long travels 😅

It's not listed as an option anywhere that I can see, and I briefly spoke to a local dealer also mentioning having tried the Polestar 2 in large part due to it having a trailer hitch - I think he'd have mentioned it if it was a "secret" option on the e2008.

Trailer hitch is not an option for the e-2008, afaik.

You mean 18" wheels, right?

@@bjornnyland The base model e2008 Active is 16 inch, well in Spain, maybe that model is not available in Norway.

@@AaronStarkLinux Probably some difference between the 18", 17" and 16". But it is a fair amount of sidewall on the 18"s too, so I guess it won't affect sound and ride all that much. Might make a tiny difference range-wise though. The one we're getting has 17" with summer tires and 16" with studless winter tires. Personally I prefer the look with 18 inch wheels. After all it is not a proper SUV anyway.

What would make you wait for the E-C4?

2008 looks way better than eC4. The latter blends with other cars after they ditched the idea of air bumps from C4 Cactus. I have Cactus and would've bought electric version without doubts... But now - Peugeot for the win

I've seen people put on aftermarket tow hitch on egolf just for use on bike mount

@@mjk8019 It has to be approved and specified for the car. Anybody can bolt in a hook, but then risking responsibility and insurance issues. It is general issue for most EV's that they are not approved for trailing hooks. New Kona can take 300Kg and all teslas mus be preordered with the hook. But those are the options. I just read the 50% of Cars in Copenhagen area have a hook, it means that a lot of people (myself included) will not buy and affordable EV until it has an approved hook.

Yes, floor under seats in all eCMP PSA models is less that their fossil counterpart (because it is where part of the battery is placed), that's why they could not use the same electric adjustments

Ángel Domínguez Thanks for the info, this definitely makes sense. It’s a bummer they had to do it that way but it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me. Edit: Just found out seats in Zoe don’t even have height adjustment 😤 At least PSA didn’t do as bad!
