Because he’s confused how you make that throw to a guy wearing your jersey
@codycampbell35622 жыл бұрын
It's because he's The Gunslinger, known for forcing the ball down field and trying to score on every play with his cannon whether the receiver is open or not and Aaron just slung that thing into triple coverage in the tightest window for a touchdown while every other receiver was wide open. It was a true Gunslinger throw, leaving The Gunslinger speechless.

It’s definitely a Favre thing to say, but to be fair, 3 out of 4 receivers were WIDE open. Only whoever was on the far sideline and the running back were covered. Although…lol a good case could be made that he threw to the least open of the three that were open.
@recoil532 жыл бұрын
@@thopkins2271 Yes, but Rodgers was also the first QB where analysts regularly used the phrase "threw the receiver open". Favre thinks everybody is open and just bombs away. Whatever happens happens. Rodgers didn't feel like taking the safe first down and just made a fool of good coverage.

He really wasn't ignoring it. I think its more of an issue with the format. Its like half commentary and half interview with nobody in the same room. So you'll have a Manning ask a question to the guest then when they are answering then the other Manning cut them off to comment on the game and its just kind of awkward for the guest. Then you have guys like Russell Wilson try to jump in and do some color commentary but Peyton would jump in and talk over him each time. Its a little awkward, but I think that's part of the charm.

What's sad, as a Packers fan, is that it feels normal. Between the Bart Starr & Brett Favre years we looked for any hope. Then 30 years of HOF QB'ing makes it all seem like any other week. I should appreciate it, because it's going to be messy when Love takes over.
@kbarzeee99002 жыл бұрын
Look at his career it's littered with those kind of throws.

I've replayed this many times. How in the world does someone even see that as an option? When Rodgers threw the ball Tonyan was well covered. He basically is predicting exactly where everyone will be seconds before they are there and putting the ball exactly where it needs to go considering where the defender body space will take up and Tonyan catchable range. Unbelievable.

The route by the tight end is underrated too. He beats the linebacker’s inside leverage with an outside release, then allows the seam route to bleed back inside to get in between the high safeties.
@segueoyuri2 жыл бұрын
nah. He was heavily covered. That's what makes the throw so amazing, Rodgers chose the hardest read and threw the ball PRECISELY in the only place and time where it could ever be for it to be caught.
@jonathananderson7167 Жыл бұрын
That was a basic route ran bro 😂 TE Vs a LB is more than likely a disadvantage for the LB … depending on who that linebacker is . The TE ran out and cut straight back up the middle simple route just a fantastic throw

I always sense this hidden hatred from Favre anytime he watches Rodgers. Favre left his legacy in Green Bay and thought, “Good luck without me after all I’ve done for this organization.” And then steps up Rodgers and balls out. lol.
