Omg, I can't believe my story actually got read! I wrote it after my boyfriend (now ex unfortunately) suggested I do it after he had his story read out, but I didn't actually expect it to be chosen! I'm so glad you all enjoyed it, as I was initially a bit nervous about whether we may have been in the wrong, but it's been so nice for my guild and myself to hear this back and know that, while we could have done a few things differently (like perhaps organising to leave and reform before things got bad), it wasn't our fault. I shared this with 'Vyks' and the rest of my guild and we've all had such a laugh listening to it, so thank you so much. I realise, listening back to it, that there may have been a few small details here and there that I missed, due to thinking them not relevant, so if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask me 😊

I've been sober for 13 years... but when I used to raid in my dark times, I was just the worst to play with. I have vague memories and I feel terrible every time I think about it.

"He isn't trying to get with me, because I am a lesbian." Fucking burst out laughing at work.

"I don't approve of your behavior" is right up there with "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed". That said, it's hard for me to believe that this guy was initially as nice as the OP led us to believe. Rose colored glasses, maybe.

On the "A captain goes down with his ship" story, I felt very nostalgic. That was basically me, back in Legion. A nervous wreck who had struggled a lot with anxiety - I faked my mic was broken for the first couple of raid nights - I was that anxious. But they were all the nicest people ever, and I've stuck with them since. Exact same situation, a more experienced player teaches me the ropes of addons, weakauras, rotations (yes, I did not know what a rotation was) - and it did not take long for me to vastly improve, really it'd be hard not to improve over my performance but yes haha! Great times

M+ really has poisoned the community for dungeons in WoW. It's even trickled down to leveling dungeons.

I swear I heard 90% of the last story before on another Drama Time. I only found DT a few months ago so I've been jumping around to listen to the stories I missed, so I can not say from what year I remember it from.

I was put off by dragonriding as well. It looked as a dumb gimmick at the time. But since i got to try it myself i admit dragonriding is cool.

Smartest thing to do if you want to go to the Fan Fest is stay one train hop away, that is if you wanted to also see what Holland is like at the same time. Also the prices would be their normal rates, & you'd get to relax when in the town with your hotel.

Is master loot really back though?

I stopped raiding in ICC and went only LFR afterwards one time to see the raid it became way to much for me was not fun anymore,and the ppl became less fun aswell.

God that last story... I ended up more mad with people not leaving rather than with the idiot GM

I mean, I don't think they should be forced to play WoW.. The contract was to convince her to marry HIM, not the other way around xD. He's the one who wanted it, not her haha.

@Preach - I am glad that you've come to realize that those of us w/anxiety have a lot of trouble w/grp content where we have to pug. Due to mine, which has actually paralyzed me IRL in public, so my time outside of my house has to be limited...pugging for me has become a non issue. If I cannot find a guild to run with, or ppl I've gotten to know & we all run well together, I simply do not do the content. Its debilitating & it was so hurtful as a fan of yours to see you dismiss it for so long. I wish more ppl would turn around & be a little more open minded to understand it really is a problem. (I want to note that I know I am not and have never been a high end player. I know my limitations & have never asked to be carried, or have tried joining grps before coming to conclusion above, where I would handicap them. If I cannot achieve things on my own, or by my own merit, I will not do them, nor do I expect anyone to pick up my slack. I expect nothing from anyone that will make up for my short comings in game play.)
